Mit kunsthistorischer Kennerschaft und meisterhafter Technik versteht es die Künstlerin, ihre Scheinrealitäten zu konstruieren. Doch bleibt es nicht beim Illusionismus einer vordergründigen Zauberwelt. Die wie zufällig entstandenen Szenerien erweisen sich bei genauem Hinsehen als sorgfältig komponierte Arrangements, und formal bricht Fides Becker den bestechenden Realismus ihrer Werke, indem sie bedruckte Stoffe an bemalte Leinwand stoßen und Nähmaschinennähte den Raum durchlaufen lässt.Das vorliegende Buch gibt einen prägnanten Überblick über ihre neue Schaffensphase – ein Großteil der Arbeiten wird erstmals veröffentlicht und kommt direkt aus dem Atelier.

Stunning automatic watch — looks way more expensive than it is

I bought this OLEVS automatic as a gift for my husband and he was thrilled. The gold-tone finish is rich and consistent, the open-heart dial showing the movement is a beautiful touch, and the day/week sub-dials work smoothly. The caseback shows the automatic movement clearly — you can see the rotor spinning with every wrist movement. It feels comfortable and the bracelet is solid. For the price, this is an outstanding piece. He gets compliments every time he wears it.
