Aus Sicherheitsgründen im Bereich des Brandschutzes ist für die Elektroinstallation in der Sauna, insbesondere hinter den Verkleidungen, die Verwendung von Silikonkabeln vorgeschrieben. Diese Kabel zeichnen sich durch ihre hohe Flexibilität aus und sind bis zu Temperaturen bis 180°C temperaturbeständig.
