Mit dem ExDetector HC 150 können explosionsfähige Gase und Dämpfe im Messbereich von 0 bis 100 % UEG erfasst werden. Das Messprinzip basiert auf der katalytischen Verbrennung (Wärmetönung). Mit diesem Messprinzip kann eine große Zahl von Gasen z. B. Wasserstoff und Kohlenwasserstoffe überwacht werden.

Er erfüllt zusätzlich alle Kriterien für den Einsatz in der Ex-Zone 2 und in Bereichen funktionaler Sicherheit nach SIL-1.
