DIScover System:
Während einer normalen Nacht gibt eine Person bis zu 500g Schweiß in Form von Wasserdampf ab. Diese Feuchtigkeit - sollte sie in der Isolationsschicht des Schlafsacks verbleiben - führt zu einer drastischen Abnahme des Isolationsleistung. Bei sehr niedrigen Temperaturen liegt der Taupunkt (die Temperatur, bei der Wasserdampf flüssig wird) normalerweise auf der Innenseite der Außenhülle. Bei extremer Kälte kann dieses Kondenswasser sogar zu Eis gefrieren, was bedeutet, dass die Füllung auf lange Sicht nicht trocknen kann und der Schlafsack schwerer und nasser wird. Dies führt zu einem drastischen Einbruch des Isolationsvermögens des Daunenschlafsacks.
Dieses System verwendet eine zweite umgekehrte Außenhülle aus wasserabweisendem und atmungsaktivem Shellproof Ultra. Durch eine entsprechende Reißverschlussöffnung kann diese Schicht zum Trocknen einfach nach außen gedreht werden. Eiskristalle oder Wassertropfen, die sich zwischen den Schichten gebildet haben, können leicht abgeschüttelt werden. Um eine schnellere Trocknung der verbleibenden Kondenswasserfeuchtigkeit zu erreichen, besteht die innere Schlafsackhülle aus daunendichtem, aber extrem atmungsaktivem Shelltex Ultra.
Die zusätzliche Luftschicht zwischen den Außenhüllen erhöht das Wärmespeichervermögen und erzielt so ein sensationelles Wärme-Gewichtsverhältnis.

Fast and no hassle protection of your expensive product purchases
Had an issue with my expensive floor cleaning robot breaking after less than 2 years (i.e. 1 year in to this 3 year extended protection plan). After submitting an online claim, they sent me a 1 page form to fill-out and provided a shipping label to return the large and heavy robot. Within 3 days, they sent me an email saying they couldn't repair it and provided a FULL-REFUND via an Amazon gift card # which successfully credited to my Amazon account.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Bought 3 year warranty for new Dyson vacuum for $76. On day 2 the battery for vacuum would not lock into place. In order to have a functioning vacuum as quickly as possible, I purchased a second battery from Amazon. That resolved the problem, proving the battery was the problem, not the vacuum. I filed a claim with Assurion, which included sending photos, receipts, etc. The claim was still "processing" for a week. I got on a chat with Assurion, and for nearly an hour I tried to explain why it was unnecessary for me to return the whole vacuum. I asked for a supervisor, but they advised me to call because no supervisor was available. I called, and after finally getting through the computer system, I got the same run around. Finally a supervisor came on the line to tell me that this was actually an Amazon or a Dyson problem, and that I would need to return the entire vacuum. Also they would not "reimburse" for the battery I purchased. I never wanted reimbursement, I only wanted a functional battery - which is what I paid for. The supervisor told me I could "contact" Amazon. Everyone knows there is no human to contact at Amazon. You can keep the product, or you can return the product. As previously stated, I do not want to return the vacuum. Finally, the supervisor connected my call to Dyson. They refused to help me because I purchased the vacuum through Amazon. After two wasted hours, I ended up just where I suspected I would...without any help at all. I am going to try to "return" the useless Assurion warranty.
