Nase
Boris Champys Pommard En Boeuf 2020 ist ein einprägsamer, lebendiger, frischer und dichter Pinot Noir mit deutlichen Noten von dunklen Himbeeren und reifen Pflaumen, wobei sich die Rappen sehr schnell mit Kakao und ein wenig Zimt verbunden haben. Darüber liegt ein Hauch von bestem Holz. Zudem findet sich neben dunkler, leicht angewärmter Schokolade etwas Zimt, Bergamotte und Pfeifentabak.

Gaumen
Am Gaumen wirkt der En Boeuf geradezu geschmeidig, ohne das typisch Erdige der Appellation zu verleugnen. Doch das ist eingebettet in eine rot- und dunkelbeerige knackige Frucht, in Noten von Kirschen und Zwetschgen, Lorbeer, Tabak und Pfeffer. Der Wein besitzt viel Kraft, sodass er das neue Holz und die Rappen bestens veratmet und sich schon in jungen Jahren sehr balanciert und geradezu elegant präsentiert. Ein ausgezeichneter Pommard, der sich in sehr gut als 1er Cru einreihen würde, ohne indes einer zu sein.
