Das ätherische Öl vom Australischen Sandelholz (Santalum spicatum) bezaubert mit seinem weichen, balsamischen und leicht holzigen Duft, der etwas intensiver ist als beim Santalum austrocaledonicum. Es ist aufgrund seines hohen Anteils an Sesquiterpenolen, insbesondere Santalol, sehr hautverträglich und pflegend.
