The Way Out of … versammelt Texte von Teilnehmer*innen am Diskussionsprogramm des Kunstfestivals, die neue Wege skizzieren: Wege aus einer wirkungslosen politischen Kunst, aus einem schrankenlosen Kapitalismus, einem ineffektiven Umweltaktivismus oder einem altertümlichen Verständnis weiblicher Sexualität. Zugänglich und pointiert geschrieben, bietet dieser Reader vielfältige Denkanstöße zu den multiplen Krisen unserer Gegenwart.Der STEIRISCHE HERBST, eines der ältesten interdisziplinären Festivals für zeitgenössische Kunst in Europa, verwandelt die Stadt Graz und die Steiermark jedes Jahr für einen Monat in einen Parcours aus installativen und performativen Projekten. Seit 1968 bietet das Festival eine Plattform für öffentliche Debatten, kritische Positionen und den Dialog zwischen den Künsten.
