PALENQUEROS Coyote Valente Garcia (Mezcal)

Besonderheiten: Dieser Mezcal wird in der Region Oaxaca, Mexiko, von den Nachfahren des vierten Generationen Brennmeisters Valente García hergestellt. Die Agavenpflanzen der Sorte Agave americana, bekannt als Coyote, werden in Erdöfen mit Mesquiteholz langsam gegart, was dem Mezcal seine charakteristische Rauchigkeit verleiht. Nach der natürlichen Gärung in Zedern- und Pinienholzfässern erfolgt die doppelte Destillation in 350-Liter-Kupfer-Pot-Stills. Der Mezcal wird ohne Zusatzstoffe und ohne Kühlfiltration abgefüllt, um die Authentizität des Geschmacks zu bewahren.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: Aromatische und komplexe Aromen von Quitte und Zitrusfrüchten, begleitet von subtilen Zimtnoten und einem Hauch von Rauch.
  • Gaumen: Vollmundig mit Aromen von Milchkaramell und geröstetem Kakao, die sich harmonisch entfalten.
  • Abgang: Lang anhaltend, mit einer angenehmen leichten Bitternote im Kontrast zur Süße und nussigen Nuancen.

Destillerie/Abfüller: Die Palenqueros-Linie umfasst ausgewählte Brände verschiedener Brennmeister aus Oaxaca. Sie wurde vom Rumexperten Luca Gargano ins Leben gerufen und wird von Hector Vazquez kuratiert, der zuvor Master Distiller bei Los Danzantes war. Valente García, der auch für Mezcal Alipús den San Andrés produziert, war ein angesehener Brennmeister, der 2023 verstorben ist.

I'm going back to Sparkle

I used to buy Sparkle years ago , it was the only brand I bought, but I stopped because they were lower quality than names like Bounty. Recently, before payday I ran out of paper towels and bought this pack before payday so I didn't have to shell out $25 for paper towels. Sparkle i can honestly say has improved immensely in quality, yet still staying reasonably priced. I noticed as soon as I opened one roll it was better quality. They are stronger, much stronger than they used to be. No loose lint like they used to have. They are a bit stiffer in feel compared to Bounty, but still feel soft. Cleaning is the real test for me. The old Sparkle shredded apart as soon as I wet the towel to clean. The new Sparkle is amazing. Gotta say I like it better than Bounty. I used it to clean the bathroom and the towels held up extremely well with being water soaked, used to scrub (friction & pulling). They don't feel thick which i like. Reusable? I'd dunk the towel in water, scrub then rinse the towel and wipe and it held up . Sparkle has improved and won me over!

I recently picked up the Sparkle Pick-A-Size Paper Towels (6 pack) and overall I’m pretty happy with them. The pick-a-size feature is really convenient because you can tear off a smaller sheet for quick spills instead of wasting a full one. For everyday kitchen messes—wiping counters, small spills, or drying hands—they work perfectly well. They’re also reasonably absorbent and the rolls seem to last a decent amount of time, especially when using the smaller sheet sizes. For the price, it feels like a good value compared to some of the more expensive brands.
