In the heart of New York stands a historic skyscraper, known for its shape reminiscent of an old-fashioned iron: the Flatiron Building. In this two-player strategy board game, you'll help build this iconic building. Develop your business by purchasing cards, perform actions on the streets surrounding the Flatiron, and visit City Hall to complete construction tasks. If you contribute the largest stone to the construction once the building's roof is complete, you'll walk away with the winnings!
Flatiron is a strategic challenge for two players. If you're looking for a game with accessible rules yet enough depth to take on the challenge with a friend or partner, then this is the perfect game for you. If you prefer to play alone, Flatiron offers a solo mode where you'll compete against the real architect of Flatiron.
Players take turns building the building until one of them completes the roof. The game then ends immediately. On your turn, you move your architect and perform an action at that location. Through actions, collect enough money to acquire laws and a better reputation. These earn you points at the end of the game. You can also use your action to buy and build pillars to advance the Flatiron's construction. Once there are enough pillars, you can begin work on the next floor. Building pillars and floors earns you points and opens up new actions. By building at the right time, adhering to the law, and maintaining your reputation, you can earn all the points you need to secure the profit when the roof is finally finished.
