He introduces a small metal suit case (about the size of a deck of cards) and a deck of playing cards. He removes the cards from their box and freely shows the faces to be all different and thoroughly mixed. The deck is turned face down as the magician explains that he has written a famous city on the back of each card giving a choice of one of the fifty-two most popular cities in the world to visit. A spectator selects a face up card which is placed on view while the magician shows some of the other cards and cities that the spectator could have selected. The spectator turns their selected card over to see for the first time which city they chose, Las Vegas. The magician picks up the small suit case and turns it over to reveal a Las Vegas travel label attached to its side! Not only that, the magician explains that whilst in Vegas he picked up a souvenir from one of the casinos. He opens the small case and shows that it contains a single playing card from one of the famous casinos in Vegas, but not just any card, when the card is turned over it is discovered to be identical to the one selected by the spectator!

A love story starring a fictional USWNT player?! I was sold. The writing was flowed and never took me out of the story. The characters felt pretty real, which is always appreciated. The details of the soccer world made me smile. It made my heart happy to read about this fictional player finding love. Stans of couples in the USWNT and NWSL will adore Willa and Sage's cuteness. Overall, very enjoyable and would highly recommend💜

Format: Kindle
This was a great read, light and airy with just enough tension and angst to keep me glued. Both mains are authentic and brazen but in completely different ways. Loved the characterization and growth of each woman. Definitely give this one a go!

The Trans Issue
Format: Paperback
I couldn't give a higher rating because of the writer pushing trans issue in sports. All for anyone in sports however, when it is man to woman the deck is stacked. Not to mention they are on hormones , which is a drug. Any questions: US had a trans win gold in track and Canada won bronze in soccer, how do you think those women felt. IMO this is just the beginning, what do they need natural born women for. It's so wrong on so many levels for women. I You tubed it and MEN are speaking up for women, why aren't we doing it for ourselves.
Back to the book in question, I'm just not objective enough to say more.

The strength of women and their strength of character
Format: Kindle
Willa and Sage began an unconventional relationship yet completed their journey in love. I loved the characters and plot of this book. I was inspired by Sage’s strength to defend Willa from the jabs of an aggressive friend, Ava. It was wonderful watching Ava grow even though she was a secondary character. That Sage remembered Rebecca’s plight and commit herself to a legacy of providing soccer camps for girls and trans players was incredible. A truly inspiring story. I heartily recommend this book and any others by this author.
I love the way she writes and how she allows us to tag along with the journeys of her well developed characters and plot.
I’m looking forward to more of her works. Thank you

Poetry, Lyric, and the Mind of a Scholar
Format: Paperback
The first essay on the lyric is necessary reading for any poet.
The whole book is excellent reading, often on the Appalachian writers. Excellent resource for scholars and casual readers. Highly recommend. Somehow the essays are both intimate and deeply theoretical. Powerful display of Jesse Grave's scope of thinking.
