Hlíf means protection or shelter.

Hlíf Mini is a smaller version of the original Hlíf earrings. Sculpted by hand from thick silver, the form keeps its protective, enclosing curve while offering a more compact and everyday scale. The surface is intentionally irregular and polished, giving each pair a distinct, organic character.

Designed to sit close to the ear, Hlíf Mini carries the same sense of weight and presence as the larger version, in a lighter, more versatile format. A quiet statement piece for daily wear.

The earrings are not heavy on the ear.

Each pair is handmade. Subtle variations in shape and surface are part of the design.

14,4mm in length, 8mm in width. Each earring is 1.4 g in weight with the pin and claps.

Materials

    • 925 recycled sterling silver with 18K gold vermeil plating

Each pair is made by hand, so slight variations in shape and surface are part of the design.

Care:

To preserve the surface and finish of your Hlíf earrings, avoid contact with water, perfume, lotions, and cleaning products. Remove before showering, swimming, or exercising.

Store your earrings in a dry place, preferably in a soft pouch or box when not in use. Gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.

Rhodium and gold vermeil plating will naturally wear over time depending on use and skin chemistry. Treating your jewellery with care will help extend the life of the plating.

and I found two cases that were no longer good law (even though this is the new edition)
This is a required text for Internet Law classes. It is edited very poorly. There are typos on every other page, and I found two cases that were no longer good law (even though this is the new edition).

Bad book for SOA exam, but oh well.
Format: Paperback
While required by Society of Actuaries as the textbook for Short Term Actuarial Models exam, I could not recommend this textbook for any other purposes. Written by two Canadian actuaries, a lot of terms and explanations used in this textbook cannot be transferred into US P&C insurance. It fails to explains insurance's purpose and products effectively and as an intro book with unnecessary sentences to deliver personal thoughts. It is also a mess in following sections on ratemaking and reserving. I cannot sense a flow from this book that guides readers in an approachable manner. Overall, author compromises the size AND the quality.
