Cleaning Tips

The boots should be cleaned of any mud or dirt prior to waxing. Apply Meindl Sportwax to the upper to keep the leather soft and supple, it is recommended that you clean your boots each time you have used them. And apply Sportwax after every few wears. If your boots are nubuck leather then you can you Meindl Conditioner and proofer to keep the finish on the boots the same, otherwise sportwax can be used for maximum protection.

The Goretex lining should be washed every 6 to 12 months dependent on usage. Fill the boot with a water and mild detergent solution and then swill it around prior to rinsing with water. This will clean the Goretex lining and improve its effectiveness.
