THE STORY

VINTAGE INFORMATION
Above average winter rainfall, which helped set up early growth of the vines. Cooler
air and soil temperatures during Spring slowed down vine development delaying har-
vest dates.
Crop yields were good as was the quality for both whites and reds, both looking
outstanding with excellent flavour.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
The aroma is an attractive blend of plum and spice with savoury meats and black
pepper. Lighter notes of cherry and violets lift with time in the glass.
A smooth, fine structure gives a great first impression. The bright berry fruit on the
mid palate reveals itself as the wine opens up. A very complex wine, with both fresh-
ness and development coming together to produce a smooth and drinkable accom-
paniment to a wide range of foods.
FOOD PAIRING
Enjoy with pepperoni pizza, bbq lamb loin chops, beef ribs, Angus beef burger and
some cheese with a bit of bite.
