L-arginine is an amino acid with many health benefits, especially in the cardiovascular system.* Its possibly has the abilitiy to block plaque formation and blood clot benefits in arterial hypertension, peripheral vascular disease and angina.* Arginine reduces platelet aggregation and blood viscosity and may improve blood flow.* In non-acidic and high oxygen conditions, it is a precursor for the synthesis of nitric acid, a potent blood vessel dilator, which can act as an antioxidant.* Arginine also attempts to improve the body’s capacity for exercise.*
