Torq-set is a cruciform screw drive used in torque-sensitive applications. The Torq-set head is similar in appearance to a Phillips drive in that it has a cross with 4 arms. In Torq-set however, the lines are offset from each other, so they do not align to form intersecting slots across the topthe head.
Because of this, a regular Phillips or flat-blade screwdriver will not fit the head. It is mostly used in military and aerospace applications.
Universal hexagonal shaft in 6,35 mm (¼ inch)
Features
Based on the Standard Bit, the other bits are optimized by means of various hardening and coating methods. It provides a consistent hardness of ~700HV and features a highly accurate fit in the screw.
The Classic Hexagon Ball End Bit is hardened using a special procedure. The tough version resulting from this method meets the demands across all areas of industry and craft.
