As the weather will still be warm, it'll be the perfect time to explore ferments that thrive in natural heat – protein-rich, gut-friendly, and surprisingly light on the body.
In this hands-on workshop, we'll share the traditional techniques we learned in Java, making both tempeh and jamu (Indonesia's ancient medicinal drinks).

Our Java story: In 2023, Jeff and I travelled to Yogyakarta for an intensive course with a traditional tempeh maker (yes, we got a certificate haha). We visited local producers using techniques passed down through generations, and spent time with jamu makers whose recipes have been healing people for centuries. It was a really beautiful experience and gave us so much depth to how we understand these ferments – and we can't wait to share that knowledge with you.
