This book is a beautifully readable investigation of dyslexia. Schmuki outlines the psychology of written language (and its complications) in a straightforward manner, while applying this research in her newly designed fonts.
Even if it can feel like it, reading is not a natural skill. To orient the reading experience, the book features differently colored sections, each of which explores a different aspect of written language and learning.
Dyslexia is a rare example of extensive research seamlessly integrated with design practice. It mixes beauty and brains.
Salome Schmuki has been working on projects surrounding dyslexia since 2006. She received the Fernand Bausin Prize for Most Beautiful Belgian Book for Dyslexia in 2013. She has held residencies at WIELS, Brussels, BE and the Jan Van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, NL.

Good stuff, but watch the temp

I used this in my single cab pickup truck (89 ford.) It only took half the box (10 sheets or 25 square feet) to do the floors, but I bought the big box because I plan to do the doors, back wall, and maybe the roof as well. One thing I learned is that the temperature matters when you’re doing the installation. It was around 55F when I started in the evening, and when it dipped down into the 40s the sheets would not stick to the metal, and were hard to compress with the roller. That’s why I ended up only doing the floors and not any vertical surfaces; i will have to wait for a nice hot day. The other thing is that the foil layer on top is razor sharp at the edges, definitely wear gloves! I didn’t notice until after but I have little papercuts all over my fingers. Aside from those things, the install was easy and straightforward. The sheets cut easily with scissors, and any goo that ends up on your hands or scissors can be cleaned up with acetone (nail polish remover), or lacquer thinner. I would use this stuff again.

The Mitt is it.
I ordered the applicator because the Poli Glow Kit on hand was ordered and received a couple of years ago and it had the old chamois covered rectangular applicator. I could tell by looking that the mitt was the better solution. Also, the mitt was described well in an online video, so using it was easy to learn. The results were fantastic and I am very pleased with it.
The only thing I would change is to add some more information on how often to replenish the mitt and with how much Poli Glow liquid. I wasn't sure if I was skimping or wasting the material. As I approached halfway, I couldn't tell if I was going to run out before I finished, so I tried to be as frugal as possible. Turns out, I had liquid left over.
