Overlays for the Trail Sights

You ask.  We listened.  Multiple inquiries came through for these overlays.  We're not the only ones that wanted to overlay our trail sights, but your demand pushed it to the top of the list.

Ships with 2 full sets of overlays.  You only need to use one, but we don't like our customers to be stranded without a backup.  I found out that each time I installed the overlays using a dry method, it wound up in a slightly different place.  If you don't like the alignment, start over with a new one.

NOTE:  Badlands Orange is the closest vinyl color we could find to the interior of the Badlands.  In certain light it looks very similar.  In darker light it looks a little lighter, but is much closer than a standard orange.  Badlands Grey is close to the dash color.  Please see photos.

For close to paint matched colors, please check out our printed series overlays.  Optionally you can have the factory "Max Load 150lbs" text.

INSTALLATION

Clean the application area and apply the vinyl using a DRY installation.  Make sure the area is clean and free of dust, debris, dirt, wax, etc.

85 degree install WEATHER withouthigh humidity is the best environment.

Some will choose to clean the application area with rubbing alcohol which is okay.

"Rubbing alcohol will not damage car paint if it is diluted to between 10% and 15%. Since rubbing alcohol evaporates quickly, it doesn't damage car paint."

Make sure the installation area is completely dry before attempting an install.  Cleaning agents take surprisingly long amounts of time to dry when it is humid. 

    When really hot trydoing the install in the shade so it doesn't heat up the vinyl rapidly.  Perform a dry install.

    Low heat is recommended for maximum bonding with a dry installation as well.  Note that every spot we installed these on had slightly different alignment.  Initial alignment will result in various final alignment.  On our vehicle the bolts were not all centered on the bolt hole.

    After installed, the next few times you visit your vehicle, be sure to press the vinyl down firmly.  This will help it to develop a strong bond.

    This toy is great!! I have a doodle that shreds everything in sight, including durable toys, but this one stood up to the Teddy test! He easily ripped off the ear/feet bits, but the fabric casing hasn’t come off after a week of play, and I expect the rubber toy inside will be even harder to break. This is a fairly heavy toy, so it makes a thunk when it drops and is probably not suitable for small dogs. It has a light squeak that is quiet and infrequent enough to not annoy me, and it’s pretty cute too!! it does get soaked in drool pretty fast (and takes forever to dry), but at this point i’m grateful it lasts long enough to get drooled on at all.

    Dachshund said “did I hear indestructible‽ Hold my ball”

    My 15lb Dachshund took this toy as a personal challenge. He heard me tell his human brother that it’s indestructible on the inside and said “hold my ball” promptly proceeding to schmurder the textile aspect of this adorable toy. I’d say it took him a total of 23 1/2 minutes to get to the center of this tootsie pop. I’m not even mad tho bc he had no interest in actually ingesting the outer part, and is totally into the inner toy, which is, for him, literally indestructible. It’s solid rubber, has a wild and fun bounce to it on multiple surfaces. Zodiac rates the squeak 10/10. It’s great especially for when I’m on a call or talking to someone in real life and can’t immediately throw said toy or pay complete attention to him. In conclusion: Your dog will probably love it, ((suggest to just keep an eye on them during the schmurder process and make sure you grab all the pieces that come off so none are swallowed)) Depending on your tolerance for squeaker pitch and frequency of squeak, it's a 4/10 in annoyance mostly bc it’s not a long drawn out squeak ((I can not tolerate those toys, they get “lost on top on my fridge” until I get up the courage to throw them out without him seeing)), it’s quick and requires a bit of effort to produce the sound however it’s a very high pitch squeak so it’s all up to your preference. I personally try to buy toys I can tolerate my dog loving on bc when he gets a new toy, it’s his favorite thing for a long time, like, it sleeps on the bed with us for the first month.
