Diet: Carnivorous – primarily feeds on live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and small fish. May accept high-quality sinking pellets and gel-based foods over time.  

Temperament: Generally peaceful but can be territorial with other knifefish. Best kept in a large, well-structured tank with ample hiding spaces.  

Tank Setup: Requires a spacious aquarium with plenty of driftwood, caves, and plants for shelter. A soft sandy substrate is ideal, and subdued lighting helps mimic their nocturnal nature.  

Compatibility: Best suited for tanks with peaceful, similarly sized fish such as larger tetras, peaceful cichlids, and gouramis. Avoid highly aggressive species or fin-nipping fish.
