Hawke's Bay lies on the East Coast on the North Island of New Zealand. The region enjoys dry summers with moderate, cool nights. This wine reflects a single vineyard Malbec which was grown in the famous Gimblett Gravels apellation. The Gimblett Gravels is demarked by specific soils laid bare from the constantly shifting Ngaruroro River over millions of years. The river's last shift in 1867 left these amazing rocky soils, which combined with the slightly inland Heretaunga Plains' weather, and classic viticulture techniques created a uniquely expressive Malbec. This Malbec was grown on BioGrow Certified Organic vineyard.

The 2018-19 season was a bit wet in the spring and then a relatively warm and dry summer was followed by a late spike in heat in March and April, leading to dark, intense fruit. However, this vineyard is relatively late ripening to others in the Gimblett Gravels district.

Hand-picked in early April and transported in whole bunches from the vineyard to the close by winery in small baskets. The fruit was then destemmed and only lightly crushed to allow the skins to slowly breakdown during the fermentation. The fruit was then cold macerated for 5 days on skins before slowly warming each of the 2-ton fermenters and allowing a wild fermentation to kick in. Fermentation lasted 17 days before the wine was then macerated on skins again for an additional 18 days. The wine was then pressed to tank before put into mostly neutral French oak puncheons (500-liter barrels) and with a small portion in neutral oak barriques and one new oak barrel (5%). The wine was aged for 21 months in barrel and then racked and prepared for bottling in late March 2021.

Great Strong Chew Toy but not too Hard
Color: Red Pulse, Size: Medium
Great strong chew toy. It's very strong and does not tear apart like everything else. At the same time it is not hard plastic like the last brown one I ordered that could break my dog's teeth. My dog is a 2 yr old 14 lb Chi mix with a super strong bite. He tore all the stuffies up and even the nylon toy that was supposed to withstand a lot. This is the one toy that could outsmart him. I play fetch with him and it has a nice weird hop due it's shape so it keeps him interested and surprised. It's a bit heavier than other similar toys and I'm guessing bigger dogs would definitely like it too. I'm very pleased after buying so many others that were easily chewed up or too hard.

Unsafe and absolutely garbage
Color: Yellow Frisbee, Size: Large
If I could give this zero stars, I would. My dog had it for approximately two minutes of playtime, I didn’t even get to throw it, and it already had holes in it. He wasn’t chewing it or playing aggressively. He simply had it folded in half in his mouth and it tore. This toy is not safe for dogs.

Perfect ball for my Chihuahua
Color: Multi Meteor Ball, Size: Small
My dog is a Chihuahua. The small size is perfect for her. She loves chewing on the ball and loves the crackling noise from the material inside. I love that it is strong enough, she cannot tear it apart or is she able to remove the material inside. Perfect for her.

Best toy for our dogs!
Color: Yellow Frisbee, Size: Large
These are great for our labs. They love to fetch and play in the back yard. Loved how sturdy these have been the last few days. The material is tough enough to withstand our boys.
