Maison S.T. Dupont, in collaboration with master jeweler 2Saints, has handcrafted the newest architecture collection. Fashioned from silver, the pen features stunning, elaborate filigree overlays over colored lacquer. The pen comes with two caps, one topped with a stunning silver model of Big Ben, and one for everyday use. The elaborate base serves as a pen stand and as a stand for the cap not currently in use, and is hand-patinated for optimal contrast.
Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London. The Tower that houses Big Ben was officially renamed from Clock Tower to Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. The tower designed by Augustus Pugin is a British cultural icon recognized all over the world and has been a Grade I listed building since 1970, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
