The Noblemen and Gentlemen's Catch Club, founded in London in 1761, is a historic musical society dedicated to the performance and encouragement of catches, canons, and glees. Known for its exclusive, male-only membership—including royalty and aristocracy—the club fostered English vocal music through annual prize competitions and dinners, fostering a tradition of conviviality and elite social gathering.

Origins & Purpose: Formed in November 1761, it was established to promote the composition of musical catches and glees, often blending formal dinners with musical performance.

Membership: The club was highly exclusive, featuring Earls, Lords, and Generals as original members. Later, it included royalty such as George IV (elected 1786) and William IV (elected 1789), as well as professional musicians who were elected members to assist with performance standards.

The "Glee" Tradition: The club was influential in promoting "glees"—a form of part-song—and held prize competitions for composers to submit new works. John Wall Callcott was a particularly dominant prize-winner, winning multiple prizes in 1785 and continuing to submit many entries in later years.

The Warren Collection: Thomas Warren, the first secretary, published annual collections of catches and glees performed by the club between 1762 and 1793.

Atmosphere: Meetings involved strict "Harmony and Unanimity," with, as described in this article from Blue Anchor Corner, the club's motto, characterized by the consumption of food, wine, and the singing of humorous or sometimes "bawdy" catches.

Longevity: The club was still active as of 1961, celebrating its 200th anniversary at the House of Lords, as noted in this article from Taylor & Francis Online

Hours of entertainment
Size: 5.75 inch (Pack of 1)
I lived this branch bone for my pups. They like to carry it around and chew on it for hours. Not only does it look cute when they walk around with the branch in their mouth but it keeps them entertained and no mess. Not heavy but I wouldn't suggest throwing it, it would still hurt a bit if it hits one of your shins 😅. Long lasting too

They actually last!!!!
Size: 9.5 inch (Pack of 1)
My pitties are CHEWERS!! Most toys don’t last more than a few minutes, if they’re decent then maybe a day or two but these sticks are still going strong!! I ended up getting more cause I was so happy they actually lasted and you can’t beat the price!! My older male is a lot more into toys than my female but now we got a 4 month old bully pup who’s teething and tries to chew on everything!! They are slightly big for him as of right now but he can still easily chew on them and is growing fast -it’s more him trying to run with it in his mouth that is a little hard but they do have smaller options - I love that they can just chew on these for hours and hardly make a dent! If you have aggressive chewers these are a great buy!!

One of the best indestructible dog toys we've bought
Color: 5pack, Size: Large
So we adopted a pup in December and she tears up everything! I mean, Everything! My CPAP, garden hoses, trucks seat belt and backup camera wiring. Every single dog toy with stuffing, dismantle them in minutes. So many dog toys say they are are tear proof. nope! We have tons of stuffing all over our 5 acres. Hen m wife bought these. Beside the bones she bought, these are the only things she can't seem to destroy and she loves them!!!!

BEST Dog Toys EVER! JRT approved
Color: 5pack, Size: Large
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for these toys! We have terriers who have NEVER met a toy they couldn't destroy... until now. We've had them over a week an all 5 are still intact, crinkly, and squeakers squeaking - and they're played with constantly! When I tell you I've never, in all my years of JRT ownership and rescue, had a toy last 24 hours, much less a WEEK? Well, lots of you will know how astonishing that is! We've currently got 5 dogs (2 fosters, anyone looking for a project?) so the package size is perfect. Get 'em.
