d16 group 의 Redoptor 2라는 Vintage Tube Distortion emulator 플러그인을 공식 발표하였습니다. (소프트웨어 입니다.)

이 제품은 진공관 기타 앰프를 시뮬레이션해서 만든것으로 기타톤을 만들수 있는 제품입니다.

기타 뿐만 아니라 다양한 신스 사운드나 악기 사운드에 적용하여 빈티지한 진공관 사운드를 만들 수 있습니다. 

다양한 프리앰프 캐릭터와 tube distortion 을 조절할수 있으며 4-밴드 이퀄라이져가 함께 달려 있습니다.

이 제품은 tube distortion unit 으로서 우수한 평판을 가지고 있는 빈티지 진공관 디스토션 하드웨어를 에뮬레이션하여 기타 본연의 자연스러운 하모닉스들이 추가되고 자연스로운 컴프레션과 리미팅이 먹는 다는 것이 특징이라고 합니다. 일부 실제 하드웨어 장비중에는 볼륨이 줄어들면 하모닉스나 다이나믹이 줄어들고 잡음 성분이 올라가는 경우도 있는데 이 제품은 소프트웨어로 구현하면서 진공관 장비의 단점을 보완하고 있다고 합니다. 그리고 이 플러그인은 tube distortion 뿐만 아니라 transistor distortion 도 함께 에뮬레이션되어 있어서 서로를 번갈아가면서 사용하거나 양쪽을 중간으로 걸어도 동시에 모두 사용하는 것도 가능합니다.
