Installation Guide

  1. Ensure the engine is turned off and cooled completely.
  2. Disconnect the battery to prevent accidental starting.
  3. Loosen the alternator pivot bolt just enough to allow slight movement. Also loosen any adjuster-plate or tensioner bolts.
  4. Identify belt routing: Note the path around the crankshaft, water-pump, and alternator pulleys.
  5. Remove the old belt by swiveling the alternator or tensioner to relieve tension, then slip the belt off the pulleys.
  6. Inspect pulley grooves for wear, rust, or corrosion. Clean them to bare metal if needed.
  7. Route the new belt following the same pulley path. Ensure it seats properly in all V-grooves.
  8. Tension the belt: Swivel the alternator away from the engine to create proper belt tension. A correctly tensioned V-belt deflects about 1 cm (½″) under moderate thumb pressure on the longest span.
  9. Tighten all bolts: Secure the adjuster-plate bolt first, then the main pivot bolt to factory torque specifications.
  10. Reconnect the battery.
  11. Start the engine and observe belt tracking to ensure it's centered in the grooves and running smoothly.
  12. Shut down and recheck tension after a short run-in period. New belts may stretch slightly, so re-tension if necessary.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Q: How do I confirm this V-belt fits my specific engine?

A: The best way to ensure compatibility is to verify your engine model and year in the "Compatible Engine Models" table above. You should also cross-reference your old belt's part number with the numbers listed in our "Part Number Cross-Reference" table.

Q: What are the signs that my V-belt needs replacing?

A: Common signs of a failing V-belt include high-pitched squealing or chirping noises from the engine, visible cracks or fraying on the belt, and accessories like the alternator or water pump not functioning correctly (e.g., battery not charging, engine overheating).

Q: How tight should the new V-belt be?

A: Proper tension is critical. On the longest span between two pulleys, the belt should deflect about 1 cm (½ inch) when pressed firmly with your thumb. An over-tightened belt can damage bearings, while a loose belt will slip and wear out prematurely.

Q: OEM vs. Aftermarket?

A: This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.

Q: How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?

A: We offer fast global shipping—typically 5–15 days worldwide—and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.

Q: What is your warranty and return policy?

A: This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window (unused & in original condition); please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.

Better than regular scotts brand
Material Type: Recycled Fiber
It is 2 ply it's not super soft but it's not paper hard either. It's a blend of both. It is absorbent. Septic safe. Does not stick to ur bottom. Lasts much longer. Not so thick but thicker and softer than regular scotts brand.

Does the job for less!
Material Type: Recycled Fiber
Amazon usually has great deals on toilet paper and paper towel. Usually it arrives quickly and intact. The rolls are large and last quite a while. The paper is thin, but thats the way i like it. The thinner sheets are better for your septic systems. I find that while other brands are softer, the amount of waste is ridiculous and we go through toilet paper much faster. Overall, I think this toilet paper does what it needs to do, lasts longer, and is better for your septic systems if you have one!
