The Vitra Eames Fiberglass Chair DSR, designed by Charles & Ray Eames, is a true classic. While the Eames Plastic Chairs from Vitra are well-known today, they were originally made from fiberglass. In the early 1990s, due to environmental concerns, production switched to polypropylene. However, the chairs are now available once again in their original fiberglass form, with an updated, more eco-friendly production process. Unlike the polypropylene versions, the fiberglass chairs feature distinctive streaks, and each shell may show slight color differences or small imperfections, giving them a unique vintage character.

The chair comes in the original colors that were first introduced in 1950: parchment, navy blue, orange, elephant hide grey, sea foam green, and raw umber. In the spring of 2019, the collection was expanded to include Ochre Light and Classic Red. The wire base, with its signature crossbars, is available in high-gloss chrome or basic dark powder coating.

The Eames Fiberglass Chair DSR has a width of 46.5 cm, a height of 83 cm, and a depth of 55 cm, with a seat height of 43 cm.
