"Gently aromatic chardonnay with butterscotch, grapefruit marmalade, peach and oyster-shell supported by fruity acidity. Impressive wine from a top vintage. Accessible now but with the potential to evolve further in the next few years" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Jul 2021

"Youthful, restrained bouquet with characters of yellow apple skin, white peach, herbal notes, fresh cream, and sourdough. A little locked-in right now. Dry, crisp, and weighty but with a slight acid/alcohol hotness on the finish at this stage" Steve Bennett, Master of Wine

"This is a fuller style from Hawke’s Bay and quite different from the rest of the Kumeu range of chardonnays. Bold, ripe peaches dominate the nose and palate. The texture is impressively silky and smooth. Very fleshy and complete. Impressive" Nick Stock, JamesSuckling.com

An exciting Rays Road Chardonnay showing white flowers and lemon on the nose, with vibrant acidity and tingly oyster-shell minerality on the palate.

Rays Road is Kumeu River’s new vineyard site in Hawkes Bay. This limestone hillside is at 180 m altitude, with a northerly aspect. It is dry-farmed to yield high quality grapes for wine under the Rays Road name for our Kumeu River label.  This Chardonnay was hand-harvested, whole bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeast in older French Oak barrels to give a wine that is zesty and fragrant, with mineral complexity that is very true to its site.

With the 2020 vintage Rays Road produced the best fruit they have seen yet from this unique site. With new clonal plantings of Chardonnay in their first year of production, we were able to blend some extra ripeness and richness with the fresh limestone vibrancy of the existing vines.

Food Pairing: Delicious with chicken, seafood, pasta & risotto.

The Father's Intense Love and Forgiveness
Format: Paperback
Chiqui Wood shows how our heavenly Father is driven with intense love and forgiveness to see His creation and especially each one of us restored in communion with Him. Therefore, the Father gives us of His best—the pattern Son who reveals the Father’s great heart of love for the world (John 3:16). God is wooing us to love Him with all our hearts and our neighbors as ourselves (Luke 10:27). Wood explains that to truly be who God created us to be, we need “others who are gifted in areas where we lack” (53). We were created “male and female” so right there you have tremendous diversity; yet, it is in the oneness of this diversity that we will see all creation set free into the glorious liberty of the sons of God (Rom. 8:21). Wood references the works of notable scholars in the field and brings together ministries who are truly gifted to supply answers where we have lacked. I highly recommend this book for home Bible study groups, as it presents the material in portions that young believers can relate to and assimilate. Each chapter includes key points for reflection, a related closing prayer, and questions for group discussion.

Life Changing
Format: Paperback
Doing a triad with this book has honestly changed every area of my life. Truly foundational for a Believer. I see God completely differently and there were so many “God moments” while reading it. He was confirming what was written and uprooting lies. So good and so excited to continue onto The Abba Factor!

Discipleship: Growing deeper in Love with God.
Format: Kindle
This is an insightful look at the real and personal questions that disciples of Christ have in their relationship with Father-God. It is appropriate for adult small group studies or individual growth, but keep a journal of the things that the Holy Spirit impresses upon your heart.

Sometimes Life-Changing
Format: Paperback
I read this book for a class. Though there's nothing heretical within, I didn't agree with all of the author's viewpoints. Some points made were interesting, but the book wasn't of lasting interest to me. I gave it to my dad when I was done, and the book impacted his life, revealing God's love to him in a way he hadn't understood. He loved it so much he bought the sequel.
