A specialized tension control system prevents the bar from falling down or randomly dropping into position. The tubing used to craft the bar is made of type-304, 18-gauge stainless steel and measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter. Featuring a peened gripping surface, the grab bar is 30 inches long and has a satin finish to cut down on fingerprinting. The entire surface is buffed to ensure that there are no burrs or sharp edges. Securely welded to the unit, the mounting bracket is fabricated out of type-304, 9-gauge stainless steel.
