EHOB Foot Waffle Heel Elevator – One Size Heel Offloading Pressure Relief Boot

Call 866-218-0902 to confirm if the EHOB Foot Waffle Heel Elevator is the right heel offloading solution before ordering.

The EHOB Foot Waffle Heel Elevator is a clinical heel protection and pressure relief boot designed to offload the heel by suspending it completely off the bed surface while supporting the calf and lower leg. This helps reduce direct heel pressure, improve circulation, and support both the prevention and treatment of heel pressure injuries and pressure ulcers.

Unlike standard heel protectors that only cushion the heel, the WAFFLE design creates true heel suspension using EHOB’s air-filled pressure redistribution system. The calf is cradled while the heel is floated, helping reduce skin breakdown risk for patients with limited mobility, post-surgical recovery needs, or long-term bedrest. Product sources confirm one-size design and heel suspension intended for prevention and treatment of heel pressure injuries.

Quick Clinical Summary

  • Brand: EHOB
  • Product: Foot Waffle Heel Elevator
  • Type: Heel offloading pressure relief boot
  • Fit: One Size
  • Application: Heel suspension and pressure redistribution
  • Common Use: Pressure ulcer prevention, heel wound protection, post-op offloading

Why Choose the EHOB Foot Waffle Heel Elevator?

Heel pressure injuries are one of the most common pressure ulcer locations in immobile patients. Traditional pillows often collapse, shift, or fail to maintain true heel suspension. The EHOB Heel Elevator is designed specifically to keep the heel floated while protecting the calf and Achilles area.

This product is commonly used for:

  • Heel pressure ulcer prevention
  • Existing heel wound protection
  • Post-surgical heel offloading
  • Long-term bedrest patients
  • Skilled nursing and rehab care
  • Diabetic heel pressure management
  • Patients at high risk for skin breakdown

The ventilated air design and cotton lining help improve comfort while reducing moisture and skin friction during extended use.

Sizing Guide – One Size Universal Fit

This product is designed as a one size heel offloading boot. There are no Small, Medium, or Large options required for standard ordering.

It is intended to fit most adult patients who require heel suspension and calf support during bedrest or recovery. Product references list the EHOB Foot Waffle Heel Elevator as one size fits most.

How to Confirm Proper Fit

  1. Place the calf into the cradle section of the boot
  2. Confirm the heel is fully suspended and not touching the bed surface
  3. Check that the boot supports the lower leg without excessive pressure
  4. Ensure straps are secure but not restrictive
  5. Call before ordering if bariatric sizing or special positioning is needed

When Additional Review Is Needed

  • Patients with severe leg edema
  • Bariatric positioning concerns
  • Advanced wound care cases
  • Patients requiring anti-rotation wedge options
  • Long-term facility protocol requirements

Fit warning: Proper heel suspension is critical. If the heel still contacts the bed surface, pressure relief is compromised. Call 866-218-0902 for product guidance before ordering.

What is the EHOB Foot Waffle Heel Elevator used for?

It is used to suspend the heel off the bed surface, helping prevent and manage heel pressure ulcers, skin breakdown, and post-surgical heel pressure complications.

Is this better than using pillows under the leg?

Yes. Pillows often shift or collapse. The EHOB system is specifically designed to maintain true heel suspension and consistent pressure redistribution.

Is this really one size?

Yes. This is designed as a one-size heel elevator that fits most adult patients without standard size selection.

Can this be used all day?

Yes. It is commonly used for continuous bed positioning and long-term pressure relief in rehab, hospital, and home care settings.

Do I need a prescription for this product?

Many facilities purchase directly, but insurance reimbursement or wound care programs may require physician documentation depending on the provider.

What if I order the wrong product?

Call before ordering whenever possible. Proper heel offloading depends on selecting the correct device for the patient’s mobility level and wound care needs.

What if the heel wound gets worse?

Worsening redness, skin breakdown, drainage, or pain should be reviewed immediately by a wound care specialist or physician.

Can this be used after surgery?

Yes. It is commonly used after surgery when heel offloading is needed to protect skin integrity and reduce pressure during recovery.

My last Timex and why.
Color: Black/Gray/Digital, Color: Black/Gray/Digital
New edit. Upon further reflection, I’ve only had, a couple of exploratory years with Swatch excepted, Timex watches. My first one was when my mother replaced the Chicita Banana “tickity tock” sticker with a real Timex wind up watch before my first Cub Scout camp. In addition to many other Timex products, I’ve had these Ironman watches for the past 25+years. Usually the band wears out and can’t be replaced after three or four years. This particular watch fell apart less than six weeks old. It wasn’t hit by impact. It just came apart while I was driving down the road. I wonder if they’ve changed their manufacturing process. See photo for details. What is truly infuriating is that rather than replacing it, because it is truly a warranty issue, the told me to ship it to their offshore repair facility (which could take 3-5 months) and pay what might be half the value of the watch. Things happen, but the intentional friction they have created to avoid their obligations borders on malpractice and speaks to their indifference toward customer experience and subsequent lifetime value.

As expected
Color: Gray/Gray/Digital
Just an old school digital timex. Tried and true. Has both 12hr and 24hr function on the time setting. Has a standard stop watch and timer. The battery is great, just as it always is on a timex. Good water resistance and very easy to use. Overall very good watch for the price!

Love the Timex Ironman Shock watches!!
Color: Black/Black/Digital
I really like the Timex Ironman Shock watches. They are very durable and reliable. Simple to use and modeled after the. Original Ironman watches of the late 80s and 90s. Buttons are clearly marked and easy to press. They used to make many colors of this Shock model of the watch inc a cool shiny red color my wife still has . I have been a runner many many years and at 65, am still out although a lot slower than my 20s. But Timex Ironman watches have. Been my constant companion on the roads and track for 35 years now.
