Something as serious as Laminitis needs the best treatment there is. No barn should be without this kit.

A new study from the Department of Clinical Studies, New Bolton Center, School of Veterinary Medice, University of Pennsylvania confirms IceHorse's dry cryotherapy is a much more effective treatment  than cold therapy than ice water buckets, gels or compression-based cold therapies.

Only IceHorse has Cold Capsule inserts that surround and cool inflamed tissues more than 3 times longer than gels or buckets of ice and water.  These boots may be used with a pad, insert or wedge as prescribed by your veterinarian  or farrier.

No barn should be without the Laminitis Kit from Ice Horse.

The Kit Includes:

  • IceHorse Pro Therapy Laminitis Boots.
  • 2 Hoof Wraps Soaker Sacks
  • 18 Cold Capsule IcePacks

Hoof Wrap Soaker Sack Directions:

While Cold Capsule inserts are freezing use Soaker Sacks for immediate relief

1. Place hoof pads in the bottom of sacks
2. Place horse’s hoof in sack
3. Fill sack with crushed ice and water
4. Secure with Velcro straps

Ice Horse Pro Therapy Boots Directions:

Step 1: Immediate help
  • Open IceHorse Pro Therapy Laminitis Boots packages. Remove Cold Capsule Ice Packs and place in freezer, with each pack’s round white seal facing up so it can “breathe.”
  • While Cold Capsule inserts are freezing, open Hoof Wrap Soaker Sack package. Insert hoof pad in bottom of sack, fill sack with crushed ice and water. Place hoof in sack and secure with Velcro straps.
Step 2: Prepare Laminitis Boots
  • Check to see that Laminitis Boots Cold Capsule inserts are frozen and the ice crystals turn white (initial freezing time is 8-12 hours, depending on freezer temperature – after initial freeze, ice packs will refreeze in approximately 4 hours). Remove Hoof Wrap soaker sacks from horse’s hoof.
  • Use 3 Cold Capsule inserts per boot. Remove tape from Velcro strips on the back of each ice pack.
  • Open the Laminitis Boot all the way and attach ice packs vertically to the stiff panels inside the boot.
Step 3: Attaching the Laminitis Boots
  • With the Ice Horse logo facing the front of the horse’s hoof, hold boot open, lift and place the hoof in the boot, and set it back down.
  • Fasten the stiff panels around the horse’s leg.
  • Pull the REAR outer elasticized panel tightly around the stiff panels and fasten with Velcro tabs.
  • Pull the FRONT outer elasticized panel tightly around the stiff panels and fasten to the outside of the rear panel.
  • Secure the boot with the strap around the pastern area to prevent ice from slipping downward.
Step 4: Refresh the Boot’s Cold Capsule inserts
  • Check Cold Capsule inserts after approximately two to two and a half hours. The first application of Cold Capsule inserts should provide therapeutic level of cooling for about 2-2 1/2 hours. If ice crystals have turned clear, replace with second set of Cold Capsule inserts.
  • Unwrap the boot, peel off the ice pack and replace with frozen packs. NOTE: the boot does not need to be removed from the horse’s hoof.
  • Return first set of Cold Capsule inserts to freezer. They will refreeze in about 4 hours after the initial freeze.
  • Check second set of Cold Capsule inserts in 4 hours. Replace as necessary. Continue treatment for 24-48 hours.

Good OEM replacement for Honda Pilot
Size: 7.5" x 8.7" x 1.4"
Simple cabin filter for my wife’s Honda Pilot. It fits well in the cabin air filter drawer. This is of similar quality to the original Honda one; just cheaper. I’ve bought this for my Subaru and have been happy with it as well.

Works great!
Size: 7.5" x 8.7" x 1.4"
This is a great filter for allergies and a huge help during allergy season. It traps fine dust and pollen much better than the standard paper filters you get from the dealership, resulting in noticeably cleaner air inside the cabin. The construction feels very solid, and it fit perfectly right into the housing without any issues. If you are looking for true HEPA filtration in your vehicle, this is definitely worth the upgrade!

Saved over $60 and felt like a DIY hero!
Size: 7.5" x 8.7" x 1.4"
I bought the BOSCH 6092C HEPA Cabin Air Filter after a tire/service center quoted $76 to do the same job I did in no time. Instead, I watched a quick YouTube video, grabbed a screwdriver, and had it swapped out in under 5 minutes—no sweat, no special tools. The filter itself is high quality, fits perfectly, and noticeably improved the air quality in my car. No weird smells, and the airflow feels cleaner and stronger. Honestly, it’s one of the easiest upgrades I’ve ever done. If you’re even slightly handy (or just tired of paying for basic service), this is a no-brainer. Great product, easy install, and a satisfying win for anyone who likes saving money and doing things themselves.

Great aftermarket filter
Size: 7.5" x 8.7" x 1.4"
Performance will be TBD but after a test air does smell a bit cleaner. It Fits a 2018 Subaru Impreza just like the OEM does. Material is significantly better as well. The only thing that will cause confusion is the arrow designation many are used to. The OEM will state which way the filter is to be oriented (up), and this aftermarket version designates which way airflow goes which is usually in the direction of the blower or engine bay (down). Keep that in mind. Otherwise, it’s so easy and such a good peace of mind maintenance item everyone should do and NEVER pay the dealer.

Works ok, but not perfect. Manage expectations.
Size: 7.5" x 8.7" x 1.4"
My goal was to reduce or eliminate bad particulate odors coming in from outside while driving, as drive through areas with high particulate pollution. Sure, recirc mode exists, but then cars fill up with CO2 quickly, and high concentrations of CO2 makes you drowsy and have slow reaction times, etc. So I looked into better cabin air filters. My Subaru has an easy-to-access cabin air filter. I learned how to properly change it via online videos, because the dealership wants over $50 just to change the filter, and it only takes a few minutes! The OEM filter I took out is not that good, and only meant for larger particulates, to protect the HVAC system. It reminded me of the cheaper (but not cheapest) furnace air handler filters. Placing this new filter in and testing it, it does block more airflow, which is to be expected from a finer filter. My car's blower has 7 running speeds (plus off), and I needed to turn it up one notch higher to get about the same airflow, versus the previous filter. The filter seems to work, somewhat. If behind a diesel truck, I still smell it. Same with cigarette smoke from a car in front. It doesn't block vape vapors at all, it seems. However, maybe I was expecting too much. The infographic for this filter clearly shows the size of particulate it can handle, which I appreciate very much. Diesel exhaust is a very fine particulate, smaller than this filter can filter. I also wonder if outside air is getting around the filter in the filter housing, since it just slides in, like a furnace air handler filter. It has a good fit though, in my car at least. What I need is an even finer filter, but that would likely block a lot more airflow. There are various manufacturers of high-end cabin air filters, but I don't know if they match or exceed the quality of this one.
