A glass of classical geometry and quiet harvest warmth, the Edo Kiriko Handcrafted Green Amber Grid Whisky Glass renders one of Japan's most enduring decorative patterns — ichimatsu (市松), the classical checkerboard — into hand-cut crystal. The dual-tone body fuses deep emerald green and warm amber across a precise grid of hand-cut squares, each cut revealing flashes of color and clarity as the glass turns in the hand.

Wooden Gift Box Included: Presented in a wooden gift box, this premium whisky glass is ready for gifting, collecting, or display in a refined home bar. The box adds a more complete presentation for whisky lovers, anniversaries, groomsmen gifts, housewarmings, and special occasions.

Ichimatsu (市松) — The Pattern of Endless Prosperity

The ichimatsu (市松) pattern — a checkerboard of alternating squares — is one of the oldest and most beloved motifs in Japanese decorative tradition. While the pattern has existed since the Heian period (794–1185), it took its modern name from the 18th-century kabuki actor Sanogawa Ichimatsu, who wore it on his hakama and made it a national style. Beyond its aesthetic, the ichimatsu carries a quiet symbolism: because the pattern extends endlessly in every direction, it represents continuous expansion, multiplying prosperity, and business success. In 2020, a contemporary ichimatsu design (in indigo) was selected as the official Tokyo Olympics emblem — a testament to the pattern's enduring presence in Japanese visual culture.

Green and Amber — Growth and Harvest

The two-tone color of this glass carries its own quiet symbolism. Green — midori (緑) — is the color of growth, of bamboo, of late summer leaves. Amber — kohaku (琥珀) — is the color of harvest, of aged whisky, of the warm hour before sunset. Together they form a complete cycle: the green of effort meeting the amber of return. Particularly meaningful for those who measure their year by what has grown and what has been gathered.

The Kise (被せ) Technique

The dual-color effect is achieved through the traditional kise (被せ) overlay technique. Two layers of differently tinted crystal are fused around a clear core; the artisan then hand-cuts through the colored layers with carefully judged pressure, revealing flashes of clarity beneath and creating the precise grid geometry. The interplay between green and amber — and the clear crystal flashes between them — gives the glass a kinetic quality, with color and brightness shifting at every angle.

Designed as a Double Old Fashioned Glass

The substantial 400 ml (13.5 fl oz) capacity is engineered for the Double Old Fashioned and other classic rocks-served cocktails. The wide base accommodates a single large ice sphere — essential for proper slow-melt — while the tapered upper form funnels complex aromas to the nose. The thick, hand-cut crystal provides excellent temperature retention, keeping spirits at their optimal flavor state for longer.

Hand-Cut Through Patient Tradition

Every square of the grid is shaped by hand against a spinning wheel through tens of thousands of careful strokes. The geometric precision — achieving uniform square cuts is one of the most demanding skills in the hand-cut tradition — is what separates this craft from machine-pressed glass. The lead-free crystal carries its considered weight with grounded authority.

Perfect For

Single Malt Scotch, Bourbon, Japanese whisky, Old Fashioneds, Negronis, and any aged spirit served neat, on the rocks, or stirred. A particularly meaningful gift for business milestones — promotions, new partnerships, business launches, contract closings, retirements after a long career. The ichimatsu pattern's traditional association with continuous expansion makes this glass an especially thoughtful gesture for entrepreneurs, executives, and anyone celebrating professional growth. Also a beloved choice for cocktail enthusiasts, Old Fashioned purists, lovers of bold dual-tone aesthetics, and collectors of classical Japanese patterns.

Well-Made, Comfortable to Use, and Perfect for Home Lattes
Color: Stainless Steel 12Oz
This little frothing pitcher has been a great addition to my coffee setup. The stainless steel feels solid and durable, and the size is just right for making a single latte or cappuccino. The spout gives you reasonable control, whether you’re pouring simple foam or trying a bit of latte art. I also appreciated the included art pen; it’s a slight touch, but it makes practicing designs fun. Easy to clean, comfortable to hold, and does exactly what it should—a dependable pitcher for anyone who enjoys making café-style drinks at home.

Got this for making omelets
Color: Silver 8Oz (250ml), Color: Silver 8Oz (250ml)
I bought this pitcher/mug mainly for beating eggs when making omelets. It’s a bit smaller than I expected, but it works well for single or double omelets, especially since I usually mix in a few extra ingredients. It did not come with a stirrer, may be it is not included with the 8 Oz mug. I had been using a plastic container before, and this stainless‑steel mug definitely makes a louder noise while stirring, but that’s expected with metal. The mug itself feels well made. Time will tell whether the stainless steel holds up without rusting and whether the handle weld stays strong. The handle is comfortable to grip, and the opening is wide enough to clean with a scour pad. I haven’t put it in the dishwasher yet, but the description says it’s dishwasher‑safe.
