It is a "functional sculpture" that brings a bold, architectural presence into the domestic sphere. The Primitive sofa is composed of an assemblage of asymmetrical, block-like volumes. It looks as though it were carved from a single piece of stone or assembled from primary megaliths, yet it is finished with modern precision.
