A beautiful hand carved European chest or cabinet. It opens in the front and would make an excellent TV or entertainment stand or entry way piece. The carving is truly a work of art, clearly done by a skilled craftsman, possibly dating as far back as the late 16th ( 1500s ) to early 17th ( 1600s )century with later restoration. Roughly 30"h x 25"d x 50"w. Key included!!
Interior contains a metal support added perhaps to contain a safe or something.
P.S. My suspicions were confirmed today during a visit from another experienced antique dealer. This is most likely very old, therefore I'm changing the description from a conservative 18th / 19th dating to likely 16th / 17th century.
Wear and imperfections from age, movement, and use. Carving is detailed and exquisite! Wear to bottom on sides. Inside center outfitted with metal frame(added much later), presumably to enable weight bearing or perhaps it contained a safe at one time.”

Wonderful book reassures little ones we are always with them, somehow

Purchased this book for my 6 year old grandson, whose family will be moving out of state within a year. This is a wonderful, touching books that lets children know that you are always thinking of them, loving them, and always there. My grandson can read the easy words and short sentences by himself, or have his parents read them to him. Very, very cute ways they relate everyday occurrences to us being there for our loved little ones. I highly recommend this book!

Reminds children they are loved by looking at nature!

This book is so great! I love how it reminds children that they are loved by simply looking at nature around them. For example: "That inviting ocean? That's me waving at you. That clap of thunder? That's me raving about you." So cute! The opening pages and closing pages show a mother & son together, but the in between pages show boys and girls. I kind of wish the cover wasn't so obviously a boy and his mom since I have a daughter, but it doesn't stop me from reading it to my kiddo. All in all, five stars! :)
