Desert Bloom Variscite is found in the same arid Southwestern region as turquoise, but much more rare, so often a little more costly. It is also harder on the Mohs hardness scale and has a entrancing "gemmy" quality. Lapidary is an art in itself and I was fortunate enough to find these exquisite cuts - and in a pair! The female lapidary artist that cut these, works in small batches and has the same attention to detail that I have put into the silver work creating these earrings. The black bolt of matrix running through the green waters of this stone is sublime. Notice the subtle pattern on the hoops, and the delicate cuts in the arrow. The backs of the hoops are also patterned and finished with my snake logo. Absolutely one-of-a-kind. Get them before I decide to keep them.
