Through his brushstrokes, van der Meulen immortalizes the spirit of resilience amidst destruction.Artistic Techniques and Styles in "Battle"
Masterful Use of Color and Light
Chiaroscuro: Creating Depth and Drama
Van der Meulen expertly employs chiaroscuro, a technique that contrasts light and shadow. This method adds depth and drama to "Battle," drawing viewers into the scene. The interplay of light highlights the soldiers' faces, emphasizing their emotions. This technique not only enhances the visual appeal but also conveys the gravity of the moment.Palette Choices: Earthy Tones and Vibrant Accents
The color palette in "Battle" features earthy tones, such as browns and greens, which ground the painting in reality. These colors evoke the natural landscape of the battlefield. Vibrant accents, like the reds of uniforms and the blues of the sky, create focal points that capture attention. This thoughtful use of color enhances the overall impact of the artwork, making it both striking and relatable.Composition and Perspective: A Dynamic Scene
Foreground vs. Background: Engaging the Viewer
In "Battle," van der Meulen skillfully balances the foreground and background. The soldiers in the foreground engage the viewer, while the chaotic battle unfolds in the background. This composition invites viewers to immerse themselves in the action. The dynamic arrangement of figures creates a sense of movement, making the painting feel alive.Diagonal Lines: Movement and Tension in the Artwork
Diagonal lines dominate the composition of "Battle," adding a sense of tension and urgency. These lines guide the viewer's eye through the painting, enhancing the feeling of conflict. This technique effectively conveys the intensity of the scene.Symbolism and Themes in "Battle"

Very soft!
Color: Blue, Size: Queen Size Set of 2
I like the softness of these pillows. They are too bulky for me but my husband loves his. I’ve been using a flat pillow for too long. I may just need to adjust to it.

pillow whore here 🤭 and I very rarely find anything worth writing a 5 star review for but let me just save you the time of searching anymore for the PERFECT pillow!!! BUY THEM! 😍 I promise you will NOT be disappointed!! I have spend thousands on pillows over the years, trying to find the perfect pillows... As someone who suffers from debilitating chronic pain and who has had multiple neck and back surgeries I'm very particular about pillows & have such a hard time finding one's that are comfortable, not too hard, not too soft but also offer great support. I FINALLY found them 🥹 and my hubby is Italian and stays hot but gets even hotter when he sleeps so finding an authentic cooling pillow has seemed impossible UNTIL now!! Just wow!! Now Im adding more to my cart while they are still 70% off 🥳🤩

Loved the pillows
Color: Blue, Size: Queen Size Set of 2
I don’t get paid for reviews so if you want a real one here ya go ….
These pillows are great in my opinion. They came vacuum sealed and popped right up “ big and fluffy” immediately, as in big enough I wasn’t sure they would fit in my pillow cases.
I used them last night and even though they are full, big and fluffy they still smashed down to a proper size when I laid my head down. First night in a long time I did wake up with a headache. I was extremely happy with these pillows.
Now cooling ….I didn’t really find a difference from a reg pillow but, that again just could be me. Hope this helps
