This bitless system 4 works through pressure on the nose and cheeks combined with a crossed rein setup. When one rein is applied, pressure is created on the opposite side of the nose and cheek, encouraging the horse to turn. Even rein contact applies pressure to the nose bridge, helping to slow down or halt the horse. The noseband is connected to sturdy side rings, where the cheek pieces and crossed chin straps are attached. These straps run through a central ring and sit slightly lower than in other crossed systems, allowing for even pressure distribution and finely adjustable action. The reins are attached to the ends of the chin straps.
Thanks to its construction, the bridle sits securely without additional fixation and prevents slipping. The noseband should be positioned on the firm part of the nose bridge to ensure optimal function.
The crossed chin straps create an indirect rein action that is easy to regulate. Individual rein aids act on the opposite side, supporting precise turns, while even rein contact distributes pressure across the nose bridge to control speed and stopping. This indirect action allows for smooth and refined communication, with clearly adjustable intensity. The design also promotes a quick release, helping the horse to understand the aids more clearly.
This system is particularly suitable for sensitive horses and for the training of young horses. It offers complete freedom of the mouth and can be used both for riding and as a headcollar. Correct adjustment and a calm, balanced rider’s hand are essential for optimal performance.
