This is a solar product and it requires sunlight to be powered. The length of time these stay illuminated depends on the time of year and weather conditions. They will still work in winter but only for a couple of hours from dusk. Approximate lighting times are: Spring = 2 - 5 hours, Summer = 5 - 8 hours, Autumn = 2 - 5 hours, Winter = 0 - 2 hours. Favorite ball!
My dog absolutely loves this ball. I have a 11 pound mini golden doodle for reference. It is super durable and easy to clean. It is easy for her to get her teeth around and is one thing she has not chewed up.

Sturdy and long lasting.
These balls are a favorite of my Sheltie! She loves to chase after them and catch them in the air. My dog is not a chewer so I can't say how they hold up under aggressive circumstances! They do last a long time .

Very versatile and durable dog toy
This is not a good toy to leave wit big dogs unattended. That being said it is a GREAT dog toy for households that have a variety size of dogs. Our Golden Retriever and 6 pound Pomeranian both play with it. Both retrieve it and occasionally share carrying it back to us. I know it will eventually get destroyed but that is what dog toys are for. Very durable and with the holes, it allows small dogs to pick it up as easily as larger dogs.
