Installation Guide

  1. Preparation: Disconnect the battery and ensure the engine is cool. Gather necessary tools including socket wrenches, screwdrivers, and a drain pan.
  2. Drain Engine Oil: Remove the drain plug using the appropriate drain gasket (09168-12012 or 09168-10034). Collect the old oil in a suitable container for proper disposal.
  3. Replace Oil Filter: Unscrew the old oil filter (16510-96J10) using an oil filter wrench. Install the new filter, hand-tightening first, then snug an additional quarter-turn.
  4. Replace Fuel Filter: Locate the fuel filter (15412-93J10) on the fuel line. Remove the old filter, noting the flow direction arrow, and install the new one in the correct orientation.
  5. Disassemble Water Pump: Remove the lower unit to access the water pump housing. Take note of the orientation of all components for reassembly.
  6. Install New Water Pump Components: Replace the impeller (17461-93J00), plate (17471-93J02), sleeve (17413-93J02), gasket (17472-93J00), pump case seal (17416-93J00), and key (09420-05009/6) in proper sequence. Apply marine grease to the impeller before installation.
  7. Replace Zinc Anodes: Remove all seven old zinc anodes (55321-87J00) from the lower unit and trim tabs. Install new anodes with fresh O-rings (09280-22019) and torque to specification.
  8. Secure Cotter Pin: Install the cotter pin (09204-03003) in its designated location per your service manual. Bend the ends to secure properly.
  9. Reassemble Lower Unit: Reattach the lower unit to the engine, ensuring all mounting bolts are torqued to manufacturer specifications. Use the gear oil pump (24OP149) to refill the lower unit with fresh gear oil.
  10. Refill Engine Oil: Using the new drain gaskets, reinstall the drain plug. Refill the engine with the manufacturer-recommended grade and quantity of four-stroke marine oil.
  11. System Check: Reconnect the battery and start the engine in a test tank or on-water. Check for proper water discharge from the telltale and inspect all service points for leaks.
  12. Final Inspection: After running the engine for several minutes, recheck oil level and inspect all filter and anode installations. Dispose of old fluids and parts in accordance with local environmental regulations.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Q: How do I confirm this service kit fits my specific Suzuki engine?
A: Verify that your engine is a Suzuki DF200, DF225, or DF250 model manufactured in 2011 or later. Check the serial number plate on your engine and cross-reference with the OEM part number 17400-93850 in your owner's manual or exploded parts diagram.

Q: How often should I use this service kit for routine maintenance?
A: Suzuki recommends annual service or every 100 operating hours, whichever comes first. The water pump impeller and zinc anodes should be inspected at each service interval and replaced as needed, while fuel and oil filters are typically replaced at each major service.

Q: What are the signs that my water pump impeller needs replacement?
A: Common symptoms include weak or no water flow from the telltale indicator, engine overheating, steam from the engine, or reduced cooling system performance. Impellers should be replaced annually even if they appear intact, as rubber deteriorates over time.

Q: Can I install this service kit myself, or do I need a marine technician?
A: If you have mechanical experience and the proper tools, many of these components can be installed by a skilled DIYer following the service manual. However, lower unit work and water pump replacement require precision—professional installation is recommended if you're unsure.

Q: Are all the components in this kit necessary for my service interval?
A: This kit bundles components typically replaced during major scheduled maintenance. Depending on your engine's condition and operating environment, some items (like zinc anodes) may need more frequent replacement, while others (like filters) follow the standard service schedule.

Q: What's the difference between this aftermarket service kit and the OEM version?
A: This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.

Q: How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
A: We offer fast global shipping—typically 5–15 days worldwide—and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.

Q: What is your warranty and return policy?
A: This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window (unused & in original condition); please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.

Great for big dogs
Size: Medium, Number of Items: 1
Our pup is now 15 months old (nearly 110 lb and still growing). We got this ball when he was 3 or 4 months old. GOODS - - Our pup fetches with extreme drive, and the rope helps him quickly snatch the ball off the ground (versus a tennis ball, in which we are worried he will go head over heels at times) - Our pup also loves to play fetch in the water, and this ball floats great and again, the rope gives another point to bite onto - The yellow color is easy to see, even in grass - Our pup typically fetches the ball, and leaves the rope mostly out of his mouth. So, throwing the ball doesn't result in saliva-covered hands - It's pretty easy to throw the ball 50', and possible to throw it 100' - It doesn't roll/bounce, so if you are for example playing fetch on your front lawn and are concerned with a tennis ball rolling into the street, this one alleviates that issue - Our pup is spoiled and has several balls. This is absolutely his go to ball. We have woken up in the morning before to see him standing next to the bed with the ball in his mouth, asking us to get up and play. BADS - - Occasionally when he goes to fetch it, he will step on the rope as he tries to pull up on the ball. - We have gotten this ball stuck in trees multiple times. In fact, there is one stuck on the roof of our church from playing fetch on the lawn there. :-/ Not a fault of the ball, but if you start whipping it around like nunchucks, it might not go where you want. - The near max you can through this ball is 100'. And since it doesn't roll/bounce, throw distance is throttled. We often play fetch in a local baseball field, and have no issue wearing him out with this ball. However, if you are planning on throwing a ball the distance of half a football field, you might want to consider something else. SIZE - - We purchased both the medium and the large. Even though our pup is huge and can fit a soccer ball in his mouth, he still prefers the medium. It's easier for him to get in his mouth and breath while running back. The medium is the size of an orange, whereas the large is the size of a grapefruit. DURABILITY - - We have gone through about 4 of these balls, BUT this is because we lost 3 of them. We believe he dropped one out of the car window while we were driving, one is on the roof of our church, and I forget about the other one. On the first one we had, the stitching behind the black tape was down to a few threads after about 5 months. Given duration we use these balls (every day) and the joy he gets from them, I feel the durability is good for the price. - We do play tug with the ball at times, and no issues there Enjoy!

Good but better options out there.
Good ball, but is a cheaper version of the Foamster sold online. The rope is cheap and comes apart, and can be abrasive to a dogs mouth. The Foamster uses a higher quality ball and are more durable and use grippy biothane straps rather than cheap rope. They are also made to order in the USA with lots of fun colors. Worth the extra money if your dog likes these balls.

Fun toy for fetch
Size: Medium, Number of Items: 1
Daisy loves this toy. I found it from her dog trainer, and it makes rewarding her with a quick tug of war and fetch really easy. Also it’s shockingly durable. It looks like foam, but she has not destroyed this one.

Definitely recommend, great product!
Color: Grey
Absolutely amazing and great quality. My two chihuahuas have been digging and ripping up potty pads since they were babies. They are now 1 year and 3 months old and still do that. I tried reusable potty pads for a while and washing them, but eventually the smell and amount of time wasn’t worth it anymore. And I was looking for something else. I found these and ordered 3 of these potty trays and they are incredible. They can’t chew the disposable potty pads and they do great with this. I highly recommend! It took about 3 days for them to adjust to the feeling of the material but now they are comfortable. I wipe the top daily and change the disposable potty pads. Then once a week I clean with vinegar and water and towels or just soap and I sometimes spray down with hose outside. It makes it much faster and easier. It still takes work to keep it clean but it’s much better than cleaning up ripped up potty pads every day. It’s a great value also for the price and definitely I can tell is going to last a long time. For reference my dogs are 10 pounds, they are overweight right now and loosing weight, but this completely holds them and is very sturdy, even when both are on it at the same time. They use as their main bathroom area as it is not safe for them to go outside alone because there are coyotes in the area. And when I’m at work they have access to a potty area all day. I definitely recommend for dogs this size and am so happy I found a product that works for my home. Also the grey color is great and matches well in my home.

Absolute LIFESAVER.
Color: Black
A must-buy for any puppy owner that uses potty pads. Our pup still hasn't had all of her parvo boosters and has had to stay inside at all times. She is usually very good about going on her potty pads, but has a terrible habit of grabbing the pad and flinging waste everywhere and tearing the pad itself apart. This potty pad holder is PERFECT. It is sturdy and the grated tray fits in neatly. The dog is unable to get to the puppy pad, no matter how hard she bites or paws at the sides. Believe me, I've seen her try. We bought other puppy pad holders that were cheaper, but she was able to rip the puppy pad out of them easily. It is also really easy to clean. The plastic can easily be washed with soap and water or sprayed and wiped with antibacterial spray. The potty pad itself usually soaks up all of the urine, so there is never any worry of overflow. The only critique I have is that the rectangular shape is somewhat a poor design, because most potty pads are square-shaped. This means that the owner has to fold a standard potty pad in order to fit the tray. But this is not a huge problem, as we're still very happy with the product. Overall, it's worth the money, because now I don't have to worry about cleaning a huge mess, disciplining my pup for the behavior, or any health scares from her eating plastic from the potty pads. We loved the first one so much, that we bought a second one.
