Kathrine Lovell — "Adire VI" is a compelling example of contemporary decorative art that engages deeply with the traditions of African textile design while asserting a distinct modernist sensibility. The work aligns with the broader movement of Global Boho, which celebrates cultural exchange and the aesthetic value of artisanal craftsmanship. Stylistically, it draws from the historical lineage of Adire, a resist-dyeing technique practiced by the Yoruba people of Nigeria, characterized by its intricate geometric and organic motifs. Lovell’s piece, however, departs from the organic flow of traditional Adire by imposing a rigid, grid-based composition, creating a tension between the hand-drawn and the systematic. This geometric grid composition establishes a sense of order and structure, yet the subtle variations in line weight and spacing within each tile cell introduce a dynamic, almost musical quality to the overall pattern. The color palette, dominated by a deep, cool-toned teal, is both a nod to the natural indigo dyes of the original textile art and a deliberate choice to create a modern, contemplative atmosphere. The use of a muted, low-contrast palette with a limited range of blues enhances the work's meditative quality, while the high density of line work ensures a rich visual texture. Historically, the piece situates itself within the tradition of pattern-based art that seeks to convey cultural identity and narrative through visual repetition. Its interpretive significance lies in its ability to translate a specific cultural practice into a universal visual language, making it both a homage and a reimagining, inviting viewers to contemplate the interplay between tradition, design, and global aesthetics. For more art by Kathrine Lovell click here.

Durable, affordable, definitely buy it
Color: Purple
This fits so comfortably in my hand and I find that the layout of the clicker buttons is more efficient for me than a normal mouse. Tbh I don't use all of the functions but I know she's got more than I utilize. Moves smooth. For someone who has hand mobility issues or injuries (maybe even carpal tunnel?), this might be a better alternative than a normal computer mouse. It's good quality, durable, and I love the color options, I got purple/green with yellow. Super cute and worth the price. My husband got a $100 ergonomic mouse but I was not willing to pay that hefty price. 🤷🏻♀️

Happy with them
I'm putting up shelves around my bed for my books, and so far, the first shelf is holding nicely with these brackets. They seem pretty sturdy and were easy to install with the screws and anchors that came with it. I measured out where i wanted the brackets on the board and then screwed them to it. I then held it against the wall and used a level to make sure it was level, then put a screw in the middle bracket to hold it level while i marked the rest of the screw holes. I did this all by myself, but it would've been a lot easier to do with two people. I plan to buy more and put up more shelves

Fantastic Product
I bought these hangers to mount my speakers. They are heavy duty, has a curl at the end to keep the speakers from falling off, and I was able to mount them and have clearance underneath. Awesome!!

Does it's purpose with style
We used these in our pantry and dining room for shelves and they turned out well. The only reason they are hard to install is because of the design (which is very nice) so it is worth it. It just takes time when you you are hanging the shelves, to do it correctly. While they can hold a lot, we realized that a bunch of cans or jars cannot go on these shelves. Luckily we had another option for heavy items (Example: We had about 40ish pounds of cans/jars on a 1x12 board that is 33 inches long with 2 of these brackets...and it was too much). If you do not need to hold a lot of weight, these shelves are a for sure, for the price and quality. If you NEED they for something heavy, then you probably will have to go with something more practical from a hardware store. We LOVE them for our pantry!
