Overview of the Safariland Model 7323 Adjustable Radio Holder | 7323

Slim, secure carry for your duty radio

The Safariland Model 7323 AccuMold Adjustable Radio Holder keeps your hand-held radio secure, easy to reach, and off your hands so you can focus on the call. This compact adjustable radio holder uses Safariland’s AccuMold construction and a slim open-front design, giving you less bulk on your belt while still protecting your radio from bumps and snags. The Model 7323, part number 7323, rides on a 2.25 inch duty belt loop with one-way snaps, so you can mount it quickly without rebuilding your whole rig.

Built for real duty use

An adjustable elastic retaining strap with a front pull tab cinches over the top of your radio to keep it in place during foot pursuits, transports, and long shifts. Two size options cover popular Motorola portables, from XTS and Astro style bodies to Saber style radios and similar models. Finished in black with a professional texture, this holder blends into modern patrol, corrections, and security uniforms while giving you fast access to the controls and keypad shown in the example photo.

Key Features

  • Construction: AccuMold synthetic body with a molded front panel that holds compact duty radios securely while keeping weight low.

  • Slim Design: Open-front, low profile shape that reduces belt bulk and keeps controls accessible for quick channel or volume changes.

  • Adjustability: Front strap and elastic cord adjust to different radio heights and antenna styles for a secure, customized fit.

  • Retention Strap: Elastic retaining strap with a pull tab that cinches over the top of the radio to help prevent drops during running or grappling.

  • Duty Belt Loop: 2.25 in (58 mm) belt loop with one-way snaps so you can attach or remove the holder without stripping your whole belt.

  • Size Options: Size 01 fits Motorola XTS, MTS, Astro and similar radios. Size 02 fits Motorola Saber and similar radios.

  • Color: Professional black finish that matches standard duty gear and uniforms.

  • Country of Origin: Made in the USA for consistent quality and dependable field performance.

Compatibility

The Safariland Model 7323 Adjustable Radio Holder is designed for compact hand-held radios commonly used by public safety and security professionals.

  • Size 01: Intended for Motorola XTS, MTS, Astro, and radios with similar body shapes and dimensions.

  • Size 02: Intended for Motorola Saber and radios with a similar narrow, tall profile.

The adjustable elastic strap and open-front design allow the 7323 to accommodate radios of similar footprint from other brands, as long as they are close in size to the listed Motorola models. Very oversized radios, extra-thick battery packs, or extremely short pagers may not seat correctly and could be less secure.

The belt loop is built for 2.25 inch duty belts. It can sit on some narrower belts, but there may be extra play, so duty-style belts are strongly recommended for best performance.

Intended Users

This adjustable radio holder is built for front line professionals who depend on clear communication and reliable equipment every shift. It suits:

  • Police Officers and State Troopers: Keep your primary patrol radio secure and accessible during traffic stops, foot pursuits, and report calls.

  • Sheriff’s Deputies and Court Bailiffs: Maintain clear comms inside court facilities, jails, and while transporting inmates.

  • Corrections Officers and Probation Officers: Support secure radio carry in housing units, transport teams, and field supervision.

  • Security Guards and Parking Enforcement: Present a professional appearance while keeping a radio ready for incidents, escorts, and traffic details.

  • Traffic Control, Forensic Evidence Technicians, and EMS/Paramedics: Carry a portable radio on safety vests or duty belts so you can coordinate scenes, document evidence, and manage patient care without juggling equipment.

If you run a compact portable radio on a duty belt and need a dependable, low bulk mounting solution, the Safariland 7323 is a strong fit.

What’s Included

  • One Safariland Model 7323 AccuMold Adjustable Radio Holder in black, size 01 or size 02 as selected at purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions about Safariland Model 7323 Adjustable Radio Holder

Question 1: How do I choose between Size 01 and Size 02?

Choose Size 01 if you run Motorola XTS, MTS, Astro, or a radio with a similar compact body. Choose Size 02 if you use Motorola Saber or a radio with a similar tall, narrow profile. If your radio is very close in size to one of those groups, pick the closest match and fine tune the elastic strap.

Question 2: Will the Model 7323 fit non Motorola radios?

In many cases, yes. The AccuMold body and adjustable strap let the 7323 hold other compact portables with similar dimensions to the listed Motorola models. If your radio is much larger, thicker, or has an unusually shaped battery, it may not seat correctly. When in doubt, compare your radio against an XTS or Saber in size, or contact us with measurements.

Question 3: Can I use this radio holder on a belt smaller than 2.25 inches?

The 2.25 inch belt loop with one-way snaps is optimized for standard duty belts. It can mount on some 2 inch belts and certain sturdy range belts, though there may be extra movement. Very narrow belts and casual pants belts are not recommended, since they may not support the weight and could allow the holder to shift.

Question 4: How secure is the elastic strap during running or physical encounters?

The elastic retaining strap on the Safariland 7323 is designed to keep your radio in place during dynamic movement. Once you adjust the strap tension so it closes firmly over the top of the radio, it helps prevent the radio from bouncing out during sprints, ground control, or crowded environments, while still allowing a quick deliberate draw. Periodically check the strap for wear and readjust as needed.

Question 5: How should I clean and care for the AccuMold radio holder?

Wipe the holder with a damp cloth and mild soap to remove dust, sweat, and debris. Avoid harsh solvents or high heat that could damage the synthetic material or elastic. Let it air dry completely before putting your radio back in the pouch. Regular cleaning keeps the AccuMold body looking professional and helps the strap maintain its stretch.

The "Lazy Professional" Look: Is Hands-Free Luxury Actually Real?
Size: 9.5, Color: Black Napa Leather
Living down here in Florida, my footwear needs are pretty specific. It’s hot, it’s humid, and I spent half my life rushing from the car into work or a meeting. I’ve reached that age where I value efficiency just as much as style—maybe more. I’ve been eyeing the Marc Joseph New York Hands-Free Slip-on Penny Loafers for a while, and after putting them through the wringer, here is the honest truth from someone who just wants to look sharp without the hassle. The "Just Step-In" Reality Look, the big selling point here is the "Hands-Free" tech. We’ve all seen the commercials for those athletic slip-ins, but finding that in a legitimate leather penny loafer is a different game. Does it work? Yes, surprisingly well. The heel counter is firm enough that it doesn’t collapse when you slide your foot in, but it doesn’t feel like a piece of plastic digging into your Achilles once you’re in. For those of us who are tired of bending over or hunting for a shoehorn every morning, this is a genuine quality-of-life upgrade. The Florida Factor: Comfort and Style The leather is actual calfskin (on most models), which is a must for the Florida heat. Synthetic shoes turn into a sauna within ten minutes, but these breathe reasonably well. The aesthetic is classic—it’s a "professor" shoe through and through. You can wear them with chinos and a blazer for work or throw them on with some nice jeans for a weekend lunch. Inside, they’ve got a gel heel insert and a padded footbed. It’s not quite "walking on a cloud"—let’s not over-hype it—but it’s a massive step up from the hard, flat soles of traditional dress loafers. I’ve spent four hours on my feet lecturing, and my arches didn’t hate me by the end of the day. The Sizing Gamble Here’s where you need to be careful. The consensus from other guys (and my own experience) is that the sizing is a bit of a coin toss. They tend to run a little large and sometimes wide. If you have narrow feet, you might find the sides "gaping" or flaring out when you walk, which kills the sleek look. I’d recommend ordering a half-size down if you’re usually between sizes. The Breakdown The Pros: True Hands-Free: You can actually put these on while holding a coffee and a briefcase. No hands needed. Legit Materials: The calf leather feels premium and smells like the real deal. Versatility: Perfectly bridges the gap between a "car shoe" and a formal loafer. Comfort: The gel insert makes a noticeable difference for long-duration wear. The Cons: Sizing Inconsistency: They can run wide, leading to some "heel slip" if you don't get the perfect fit. Break-in Period: The heel is stiff by design (to allow for the slip-on feature), so expect a day or two of minor stiffness. Price Point: They aren't cheap, though often on sale. Value for Money Are they worth it? If you’re comparing them to high-end Italian brands that cost $500, these are an absolute steal. They look 90% as good for a fraction of the price. However, if you're used to $60 mall shoes, the jump to $150+ might feel steep until you realize you’re paying for the convenience of never having to touch your shoes to put them on. For a daily driver in a professional setting, the value is definitely there.

Step In Look Good
Size: 11.5, Color: Cognac Napa Leather
I am wearing these shoes as I write this review, and they look and feel great. I have a bit of a disability with drop foot on the right leg and bilateral neuropathy and have been wearing step in shoes for about 10 years. But the first company that introduced leather dress and casual shoes stopped making them and now only makes sport and casual shoes. So I have been searching for some that meet my need for shoes like this and this company has given me three pairs, so far. Easy to get into, comfortable to wear, and good looking. And they take polish very well, too. (Remember how to do that?). We may buy another pair or two in different styles as well.

Comfy and lots of support. Cushiony. Beware: the brown I ordered runs small. Tighter than other brands.
