This Soft Arkansas Multiform Slipstone measures 4" x 2", with a round edge and a knife edge that taper from 1/2" to 1/8". It is used by carvers to shape, sharpen and hone V-tools, veiners and gouges, but it can put a nice edge on serrated knives as well. The stone comes in a protective case with a small bottle of light mineral oil. Stone can be used with or without lubrication, but we suggest light oil, which will keep the stone’s surface fresh and free from glazing that could potentially diminish the stone’s performance.

RH Preyda’s 100% natural Arkansas stones are made from Novaculite quarried in the Ouachita Mountains, near Hot Springs, Arkansas. The unique cryptocrystalline structure and density are the keys to the stones retaining their effective abrasion characteristics and shapes with what amounts to minimal care.

Arkansas stones are graded on hardness and not grit, but grit is an easier concept for most to grasp so a grit equivalent is offered as a comparison to synthetic stones. The grit range of natural stones will vary, so in most cases a range of grit is offered – again as a comparison to synthetic stones.

Great socks, watch out for bad seller

The socks are great, comfy, padded where you want it. I used these for work socks; I have a blend of corporate desk life and maintenance work. I like the low cut so my shoes don't rub the back of my ankle but not so high that socks always fall down. Great for running and sports as well. Been using these for years.
Buyer beware though of the particular seller Liegnitz Group:
They were late shipping, sent me the wrong socks so I sent for a return and they send me the right ones. My return got delivered back to them but they did not process it and did not send out any new ones. They cancelled my order and acted like I got the right ones all along. Buy from a different retailer.

Comfortable with perfect fit

I have had these socks for a few weeks now and wear them when running. I have small feet at a men's size 7 and they fit perfectly. Most men's socks are to big for my feet. They are pretty thin but well made and have good cushion. I recommend these for anyone that likes ankle socks for athletic activities.
