In the summer of 2002, three masters of Coin-Fu met at a secluded monastery (strangely resembling the site of the IBM convention) for the sole purpose of bashing their audiences senseless. Their weapon of choice? Coins.. . at close range.

In the wee hours of the morning, video cameras captured the most dramatic moments of what westerners call a 'session' and escaped alive with the only known footage of these bizarre and mysterious rituals.

From master Kam:

  • Beijing Coins Across- Three silver coins shimmer into mirage-like existence, dance from hand to hand, then suddenly transform into ancient brass Chinese coins. They change singly back to silver, and visibly flash back to brass. This opening attack from Curtis Kam's formal parlor show is the showpiece for his signature 'Fingertip Wildcoin' sequence.
  • Coercive Purse- Cited by Tommy Wonder for its construction, this routine uses psychological warfare to beat skeptics into submission. Imagine the copper/silver transposition warped through a purse frame, by way of a Jedi mind trick. The final stroke of oriental deviousness is the production of a coin larger than the purse frame, from the purse frame.
  • The Goblet- Six coins transpose, transform and transport in, over, and around a stemmed metal goblet as Kam's pioneering techniques turn this under-used prop into a dangerous weapon. The Goblet allows the elements of Beijing Coins Across to be re-sequenced for greater killing efficiency.
  • Tiananmen Square- For his final blow, Kam added a coin purse to Fingertip Wildcoin, punishing the audience with a standing handling of Roth's classic 'Purse and Glass' that goes way off the deep end, ending with 13 Chinese coins covering the tabletop in a dazzling display of mysterious metals.

East met West as two masters of the unusual stepped upto the mats. Kainoa Harbottle met Kam's attack with a production sequence not for the queasy - 'Repeat Coins from Nostril.' Stunningly grotesque, it uses parts of your face not normally involved in western presentations. He then staggered the others by tipping his groundbreaking work on the underground Mutobe Palm and an ingenious 'spider' application of the otherwise ludicrous 'over the top' vanish from Bobo's Modern Coin Magic.

Finally, from the exotic, mysterious land known only as 'Portland', came western master Reed McClintock, who delivered the deathblow by actually performing 'International Dissolve' from his aptly named manuscript series, 'Knucklebusters. To rub salt in the wounds of the disbelieving, he then explained how it was done, and made it seem easy. The ending to this routine will pummel you, so be prepared to defend yourself

Adds comfort and support
Color: Green, Size: Twin
I’ve been using this bamboo mattress topper for a couple of weeks now, and it completely changed the feel of my bed. My mattress was starting to feel too firm and uncomfortable, especially on my lower back and shoulders, but this topper added the perfect amount of cushioning without making the bed feel overly soft or saggy. The cooling effect was one of the biggest surprises. I tend to sleep hot and usually wake up sweating during the night, but the bamboo-derived fabric feels breathable and much cooler than regular mattress pads I’ve owned before. It stays comfortable throughout the night and doesn’t trap heat like memory foam toppers sometimes do. I also really appreciate the waterproof protection. It gives peace of mind without feeling stiff or making that annoying crinkling noise some waterproof covers have. The surface still feels soft, plush, and smooth. It honestly feels more like a hotel-style pillow top than a basic mattress pad. The thickness is just right for pressure relief. It helped reduce the soreness I usually wake up with in my back, and I’ve been sleeping much more comfortably overall. The deep pockets also held securely on my twin mattress and didn’t slide around, even after moving a lot during sleep. Another thing I liked was how fluffy and well-made it looked right out of the package. After letting it expand for a bit, it became nicely plush and evenly padded. The stitching seems durable, and it still looks great after washing. If you’re looking for a softer, cooler sleeping surface with added waterproof protection and better support for aches and pains, this mattress topper is definitely worth it. It made my bed feel newer and far more comfortable without needing to buy a whole new mattress.

BDEUS Twin Mattress Topper, So Soft
Color: Green, Size: Twin, Color: Green, Size: Twin
Having purchased BDEUS products in the past, I was very looking forward to ordering the mattress topper made of viscose (a material derived from bamboo) just to see (and feel) the benefits of the material. My concern about the material, viscose derived from bamboo, is that the process to manufacture the material can be chemically intensive leading to harsh smells. I can say the topper has no off-putting smells. The quality of the manufacturing is present as there are no loose threads/seams, the material has no defects, and the print is uniform. The use of the material also leads to increased durability while enhancing the topper’s breathability and cooling properties. The topper is fitted meaning the topper will not come off the mattress very easily (even though you may need sheet straps if you are a wild sleeper). But the softness is wild, I mean this has to be one of the softest materials I have felt, and it feels very luxurious. Waterproofing and moisture-wicking is also a benefit as small spills are not absorbed into the fabric. The topper is also very thick and plush, and while the product listing touts “Back Pain Relief” it may be too soft depending on how firm, or soft, you prefer your mattress. I have to say this is definitely a five-star offering from BDEUS. This topper is for my daughter but I’m going to order a queen-sized topper for my bed as the price is just right.

This topper has definitely provided me with better, more comfortable sleep.
Color: Green, Size: Twin
I recently tried a twin mattress topper made from bamboo-derived viscose, and I'm quite impressed. The topper is thick, waterproof, and offers excellent comfort, especially for those who struggle with back pain or sleep hot. The bamboo and polyester blend gives it a soft, cooling surface that's perfect for a restful night's sleep without the sweaty feeling often associated with memory foam. What I really appreciate is its dual function. It's breathable, allowing for good air flow, and fully waterproof, which helps keep the mattress underneath safe from spills. This is especially useful if you have kids or pets. The topper's thickness is just right—it provides great support without feeling too soft or too firm. It cradles pressure points well, offering relief to my hips, back, and shoulders. The fluffy filling holds up well over time, maintaining its softness and support. It fits securely on mattresses, thanks to a deep pocket skirt that prevents any sliding or bunching. This topper has definitely provided me with better, more comfortable sleep.

Soft and comfy
Color: Green, Size: Twin, Color: Green, Size: Twin
This mattress pad is much thicker and fluffier than the one I had before. With I took it out of the package, it was vacuum sealed with a note saying to leave it out in the sun for 48-72 hours or fluff it up with a hair dryer. I put it in the dryer on medium heat, which worked nicely. The pockets are really deep on this mattress pad and it fits snug. You don’t really see the shape with a sheet on top. It feels comfortable laying on top of it. It doesn’t flatten much when I’m laying down, but I imagine over time it will lose fluffiness. Overall it’s comfortable and breathable.
