The XTR1 Retrax XR Build ships pre-configured for the Retrax XR’s integrated T-slot rail system — the bedrail brackets connect your uprights straight to the cover, so the rack and the tonneau work as one. Rated capacity (evenly distributed): 450 lb dynamic off-road, 850 lb dynamic on-road, 1550 lb static — or OEM bed rail capacity, whichever is less.
XTR1 vs. XTR3
The XTR1 uses our original 4-upright layout, with one upright at each corner of the truck bed. The XTR3 adds a center column on both the driver and passenger sides, creating additional mounting points and a slightly different look. If you want the cleanest side access, full-side AXS Gate compatibility, and the longest slide-out extension option, the XTR1 is a great choice. If you prefer the added center-column structure and 4-quadrant layout, the XTR3 may be the better fit.
