Aurora continues its journey through the solar system, this time taking inspiration from the planet Mercury for its latest Stellar Collection limited edition fountain pen. The Aurora 888 Mercurio is the 7th release in Aurora’s Stellar Collection after the well received Nebulosa, Sole, Marte, Urano, Saturno, and Nettuno.

The Mercurio is made entirely in-house, including the nib and ebonite feed. The cap and barrel are made from marbled gray Auroloide, while the cap’s finial, grip section, and piston knob are made from black resin. The metal trim is chrome plated to match the rhodium plated nib.

Like all 88s, the 888 Mercurio features Aurora’s unique piston filler design with a secondary ink reserve. When the pen runs dry, extend the piston to access enough ink for several more pages of writing. The piston knob will remain extended, acting as a reminder to refill the pen while still allowing the cap to be posted.

Limited to 888 numbered pieces, the Aurora 888 Mercurio sports an 18K rhodium plated gold nib and arrives in an elegant, black lacquered wood box with a commemorative sleeve to celebrate Aurora's 100-year anniversary.
