Programmable Automatic Charging Relay (ACR) 160A, 12V

This 160A Egis charging relay is automatic and programable. The relay eliminates dead start batteries by sharing charging on either of two batteries and isolating batteries when no charge sources are present.

Applications:

  • Supports multiple engines or independent charge systems by incorporating two independent start or engine isolation inputs to allow isolation of charge sources when both are active to maximize charging performance.
  • Protects Electrical System Cascading Faults with an optional lock-out from closing if one terminal is connected to a battery with a shorted cell.

Features:

  • Ultra-Low Power Draw Compared to typical ACRs (7-10 mA) vs 7610 ACR @ 1.3 mA, will not deplete batteries even after extended electrical system downtime.
  • Simple and robust installation - The integrated sealed plug eliminates corrosion and includes a Deutsch/Amphenol DTM connector harness
  • Start Assist input option to ensure maximum cranking amps are available by allowing the manual connection of batteries via a remote switch.
  • Bullet-proof construction - Sealed unit, stainless steel hardware, and high-temperature materials allow mounting anywhere. Integrated thermal overload shutdown protection.
  • Additional low-amp output can be used to report device status remotely or drive a secondary relay for charging a battery bank without a charge source (see example)

Specifications:

  • Continuous Current (Amps): 160
  • Voltage Range: 8-18 VDC
  • Off-State Current Draw mA: 1.3
  • Interrupt Current (Amps): 240
  • ACR Closing Voltage (VDC): 12.9-13.6
  • ACR Opening Voltage (VDC): 12.1-12.8

Focal Features:

Top Side Dip Switches

Accessible after mounting for programming voltage settings and determining active features. Protected by self-retained cover.

Stainless Steel Self-Locking Hardware

100% Non-ferrous corrosion-resistant materials. All attachment screws and nuts are self-locking.

Integral I/O Connector

Sealed Molex MX-150 connector eliminates the susceptibility to corrosion and vibrating loose of 1/4" quick connect terminals on competitive products.

Connection Options

Comes standard with a Deutsch DT/AT style connector harness. Provides three connection options (MX-150, DT/AT, and wire leads).

Easy Integration with RT Fuse Blocks (24 HR Circuits)

Optional EasyLink bus bars reduce the space and cost of connecting TH Series relays with RT Series Fuse Blocks.

LED Diagnostics

Provides an indication of pending relay ON/OFF, under voltage, over voltage/temp, start isolation/assist, and output on/off status.

This should’ve been required reading since the ‘70’s.
Format: Hardcover
It takes a strong writer with a very clear view ( back in the early 60’s) to make a very sciency topic into a gripping read. Ms. Carson broke down a complex scientific relationship between chemicals and the welfare of the planet and those of us who live here.. All of us, down to the microbes. This is a very logical explanation of how all living things are dependent on a clean environment, and how profiteering companies have compromised the health of all life on earth in the name of fewer weeds, attractive produce at the market, and ignoring the failures of the chemical approach that disregards integrated pest management. I promise you that it’s not a boring textbook study. I was a pest control advisor for many years, and had I known then what I know now I’d have trusted less in what I was trained, looking harder into the collateral damage that was created, and pushed harder, sooner, to stop the use of carbamate, organophosphates, and other “harmless” pesticides and carriers that have destroyed a multitude of environmentally sensitive and important components of a healthy ecosystem that we may not recover from in the name of profit. Other than that, it’s light reading!

Poor formatting on kindle version
Format: Kindle
Five stars for the book, 0 stars for the formatting of this kindle version. Every word that contains a double "l", such as "all", "Stillness", "hill", etc. omits the second "l" in the word. Universal y. Kil. Al. Germ cels. It is extremely annoying, and one or more on nearly every page. Is it possible to swap this one for a kindle version with better formatting?

Intense and Informative
Format: Paperback
This is some intense and easily consumed deep reading material, compelling us to gaze uncomfortably at and into the unflattering challenges which continue to face the African-American collective "Community," and delves head-on into examining & explaining how the "HISTORICAL EXPERIENCE" of Black People in the United States, those who were the unfortunate descendants of the Trans-Atlantic African Slave Trade, has both simultaneously "Strengthened" and "Hindered" hindered life for this segment of the North American population across the Generations, to where many of its effects are still being felt even to this very Day. This is a powerful companion to Dr. Carol Anderson's excellent book on on the Societal struggles of Blacks in America - "WHITE RAGE: The Unspoken Truth Of Our Racial Divide"
