Sometimes known as a “2-way” trenching shovel, this tool is the next size up from the Shocksafe Cable Layer shovel. With a blade only 180mm wide, it is easy to create clean, narrow trenches without removing any more material than is needed.
The Shocksafe component of this shovel is the handle, which features a solid fibreglass core and polypropylene outer shell, which together are very mechanically strong, lightweight and offer exceptional insulation properties. As this shovel design is frequently used for routing new utilities, striking a buried live cable is always a risk, which this Shocksafe tool will significantly reduce the dangers of.
