Exceptionally elegant, this pure expression of Gisborne Chardonnay offers delightful citrus blossom and honeysuckle notes on the nose. Flavours of white peach, apricot and just a hint of cream can be found on the palate, which is wonderfully balanced, smooth and delicious.

Cool fermentation with aromatic yeast and partial malolactic fermentation has maximised the true characters of Chardonnay. An extraordinary Summer combined with extraordinary winegrowing has culminated in this delectable Chardonnay which required no further adjustment prior to bottling. This wine shows wonderful richness now, with full expression of fruit aroma and flavour. Enjoy within the next 5 years.

Harvested in the cool of the morning, ripe Chardonnay grapes were crushed and destemmed to the press then the juice was cooled in tank for gentle clarification. The juice was racked to tank for cool fermentation followed by partial malolactic fermentation. Richness and complexity have been achieved without the use of oak. This wine required no fining prior to being filtered and bottled.
