INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the Provide Positive Behaviour Support Using a Person-Centred Approach course. This course only includes a challenge assessment designed to assess your knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competence in identifying behaviours of concern, analysing contributing factors, involving the person and their chosen supports, developing positive behaviour support responses, monitoring implementation and reviewing behaviour support plans according to person-centred, strengths-based, evidence-based and rights-focused practice.

Providing positive behaviour support using a person-centred approach involves identifying behaviours of concern in objective, observable and measurable terms, working with the person to gather behaviour information, considering environmental, lifestyle, personal, health, relationship and past experience factors, and understanding the type, frequency and triggers of behaviours. This work is important because behaviour support must reflect the person’s choices, needs, abilities, goals and lifestyle preferences, while promoting positive change, reducing risks of harm, supporting communication and environmental adjustments, and preventing exploitation, abuse and inappropriate restrictive practices.

The course assessment focuses on your ability to identify behaviours of concern using objective and measurable terms; work with the person through functional or observational behaviour records; identify environmental and lifestyle factors; identify personal characteristics, health factors, past experiences, skills, limitations and relationships; identify behaviour type, frequency and triggers; involve people chosen by the person in observation, recording and planning; develop person-centred behaviour support responses; apply strengths-based, evidence-based and rights-focused approaches; develop supports reflecting preferences, choices, needs, abilities and goals; identify proactive supports using environmental and communication strategies; develop interventions that reduce exploitation, abuse and restrictive practice risks; plan critical and adverse situation responses; set implementation goals, timeframes, success measures and monitoring processes; monitor and review plans with the person and support providers; and report adverse events, coordinate debriefing, revise plans and maintain documentation.

By successfully completing this course assessment, you will have demonstrated that you can provide positive behaviour support using a person-centred approach by identifying behaviours of concern, analysing contributing factors and triggers, involving the person and chosen supports, developing proactive and rights-focused support responses, planning for critical situations, monitoring implementation, reviewing individualised plans, reporting adverse events and maintaining behaviour support documentation.

A Hit with Both My Puppy and Older Dog!
I bought the Nylabone Moderate Chew FlexiChew Bone in the peanut butter and bacon flavor for my new puppy, and he absolutely loves them! What’s even better is that my other dog is just as obsessed with them, so it's been a hit with both. The size is perfect for my tiny puppy, and the flavor keeps them both engaged for a long time. These bones are durable enough to last, even with moderate chewing, and they help satisfy their natural chewing instincts. If you’re looking for a great chew toy for both puppies and small dogs, I highly recommend these Nylabones. They’re a definite favorite in our household!

Very sturdy for super chewer dog. Only change I would make is I wish it held more kibble but dog loves it and I don’t worry she will choke on a broken piece when I’m away.

BEST DOG TOY for TREATS EVER!!!!
Color: Brown
If I could have given more than 5 stars, I would have! I had been giving my 70 lb boxer peanut butter in femur bones that I got at the pet store for years. She loved them but the bones would break down from chewing and biting on them. I would have to throw them away when the edges got sharp in fear of cutting my dog's mouth and tongue. This PETSWEET dog toy was the answer. I have been using yogurt, peanut butter and pumpkin so far. I freeze them with the goodies as is suggested. My dog LOVES her evening treat now and I don't worry about sharp edges hurting her mouth. It is washable so more sanitary than the femur bones.

Great for super chewer.
Color: Red
Update to original review: After leaving initial review the seller reached out and asked how to fix it the issue. I was willing to try same product again. They sent me two and I have had no problems with either of the new ones. Great communication from seller. My dog loves the treat In the center and chews on the product forever. She has not been able to get the top off of either of the new ones. Thanks!
