Milk thistle is one of the ingredients in LiverBuildTM. It contains silymarin, a flavonoid, to help protect the liver by controlling free radicals. Silymarin also forms a complex that prevents toxins from entering the interior of liver cells. Silymarin is also reported to have antifibrotic, antiviral, immunomodulatory, and antiproliferative properties.
Dandelions are often used in herbal tonics due to their wide range of properties. Our formula uses only the roots which have properties that help combat free radicals, prevent scarring, and are lipid-lowering. In other words, it helps reduce some damage caused by alcohol consumption.
Schisandra aids in liver detoxication and increases the P-450 content in liver cells. It can also help reduce disturbances to liver function due to liver damage. The rest of the ingredients used help further protect the liver in their own way to help maintain a healthy happy liver.
