The 3.75" high, 4.75" wide entrance hole allows only the ducks to enter, and the absence of a perch enables a clear and safe entryway, serving to prevent predators from reaching the eggs. A ladder underneath the door inside the box aids nestlings in exiting the house when called by the mother, and the included bag of wood chips offers additional insulation and nesting material for the birds.
One side panel opens in two sections, one to clean the nest and another for observation, and both close securely with metal latches.
