Reproduction of Forest Life X by Miranda Thomas
Miranda Thomas — "Forest Life X" is a masterful example of contemporary botanical illustration that synthesizes the linear precision of Art Nouveau with the minimalist ethos of modern design. The artwork's composition is a study in asymmetric balance, where the silhouetted forms of the deer are integrated seamlessly into a dense, rhythmic pattern of leaves, creating a visual narrative that is both harmonious and complex. Thomas employs a limited palette of slate blue and cream, a choice that underscores the work's quiet elegance and evokes the timeless quality of traditional woodcut prints. The technique, likely a form of linocut or digital reproduction of a linocut, relies on the stark contrast between the deep, saturated blue and the bright, unadorned negative space to create a sense of depth and focus. The piece aligns with the broader tradition of nature-inspired art, drawing from the work of artists like Beatrix Potter and Rockwell Kent, while simultaneously reinterpreting these influences through a distinctly contemporary lens. The overall effect is one of serene contemplation, where the viewer is invited to appreciate the intricate details of the natural world and the subtle interplay of form and space. This work is significant not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its ability to bridge historical artistic traditions with contemporary design sensibilities, creating a piece that is both visually compelling and conceptually rich. For more art by Miranda Thomas click here.

Thumbs up on this one
Color: Khaki, Size: X-Large
Very nice soft material that seems like it will be easy to clean and pack without wrinkling. A bit heavier for cooler mornings and so nice it has pockets. Nice pullover.

Nice, but not as nice as I'd hoped and the shoulders are too tight
Color: A-black, Size: Large
This is nice, but not as nice as it looked in the pictures. Still very good value for the price. It's a medium-heavy weight Q-zip that looks good, but the pics online were much nicer looking. It's comfortable and warm, but just ok overall.
I like that the collar is on the taller side assuming I would wear it golfing in cooler weather, but the pockets are kind of shallow. It fits well overall, but the dealbreaker for me is that the shoulders are tight with a Large size. I could wear this out casually, but I don't think I could swing a golf club. I am 5'10" and "husky" in my old age and my shoulders are probably on the broader side, but the rest fits well so I was surprised how snug the shoulders were.
